I am so glad we decided to stop at Nellies. The waitress went out of her way to provide everything the diverse five of us requested. She answered our questions about Alaska Nellie and showed us the book that was written about her. Once back home I ordered that book which really enlarged our Alaska experience. The place was quaint... More

Was in Seward for 1 day to see the sights and stopped in there for a meal. I was really hungry, but am gluten free. After trying several places, who said the only items they had that were gluten free I tried Nellie's. The young man seating people said he would have to ask his boss. When she came over,... More

Had supper here on June 24th. Had grilled halibut, which was great. The service was fast, and the place had a homey atmosphere.

My friend and I arrived at Nellie's unaware they were minutes from closing for the evening. The woman working there said "No worries", and welcomed us in anyway. We were served the most delicious hamgurgers and fries, as well as this unusual helping of eatery hospitality.

Have the halibut sandwich. There's a reason they catch a lot of it around here. Also a reason the place is busy :)

Hubby & I drove around old town and we couldn't find a place that we both wanted to eat at ....until we came across Alaska Nellie's for dinner! They had just the right kind of food we were wanting to eat....burgers, sandwiches etc. So we ordered our burgers and drinks and in a little while we had our food. We... More

Stopped here for a quick lunch on a rainy day. Service was quick, burgers were good, and we were satisfied!

If you tell the driver of the free shuttle you want to eat here, they will tell you which stop it is. My husband and friend ordered Halibut fish and chips. It cost $25 and only had 4 chunks of fish although it was good they were still hungry. This became a running joke, each time they ordered Halibut somewhere... More

This was the first place we tried in Seward. The service is a little slow. The table next to us waited an hour and gave up. The food was pretty good, but lacked presentation. It was $100 with tip for 4 of us with no alcoholic drinks.

I was shocked. You CAN order a bad tasting fish and chips in Alaska. Unfortunately, it was our last meal there and our worst. The Halibut and Chips was just bad. Soggy. Small. Fries were best part and they were almost overcooked even for sweet potato fries. My son like his burger okay. And I agree with other comments: expensive... More
