With limited choice of restaurants in Ston we tried Sorgo. Now the vast majority of restaurants in the area offer a complete meal but this one surprisingly does not. So we ordered our main courses and was told we needed to order vegetables and sides so we opted for a single order of fries and grilled vegetables. The grilled vegetables... More

We spotted Sorgo whilst walking round the walls of Ston and decided to lunch there as it looked a pleasant restaurant. I was impressed by the spotless white linen tableclothes and napkins as well as the service. When we said we only wanted a light lunch we were offered several suggestions by the friendly, helpful and professional waiter. Our lunch... More

I had a very pleasant evening with my adult children having sailed up the Stonski Kanal to the little quay at Ston. Ston was very busy on glorious Monday in August so getting a table for eight wasn't easy but the staff at Sorgo were very accommodating and welcoming. The food was well cooked and presented standard Croatian fare.

Beyond the usual cevapcici, pizza, seafood etc. the Sorgo specialities are really fine. We tried octopus salad and pancake 'Sorgo style' - extremely good, and big portions. Good vines, as well. Friendly, helpful service, worth following their recommendations.

My girlfriend and I arrived at Ston to stay for one night, and started looking for a room. We came across Sorgo and asked there, they offered us an apartment for 200kn which we took. it looked fine but the double bed was a rather unpleasant couchbed, and in the morning there was no hot water (there was at night).... Having visited Ston to view the Wall we strolled around this wonderful picturesque town that is full of character and found Sorgo. Stopping for lunch we were not disappointed in any way. We were welcomed with warm enthusiasm, as is the case in Croatia and were provided with two superb omelettes that would take some beating! Very good value for... More

On our way from Split to Dubrovnik we made a detour to Peljesac Island, because we had been advised to taste the famous oysters, which are cultivated in the area. We stopped at a large restaurant in Mali Ston, which looked like the place where all the tour buses stop. It had a nice view of the water, and the... More

I visited Ston on the way back from Mljet just to try oysters and mussles. It was not a high season so not all of restaurants were open. Sorgo was well-marked and inviting. The interior design is a complete mess but tablescape was clean and nice. Service was fast and professional. Young and polite waiter knew English and was able... More
