My wife and I went here multiple times on our trip to Kona. Best kept secret (ok, maybe it's not a secret) is their happy hour where drinks and appetizers are discounted. You won't be disappointed going here.

After reading the great reviews for Fish Hopper restaurant I was expecting a lot more. The service was very good. The fried calamari appetizer was the best part of the I ordered the fish special Parmesan encrusted catch of the day. Which was overcooked to dry. The standout here was our waitress. She was very accommodating and helpful. If I... More

Had happy hour here- fantastic calamari and fish tacos at a great price! And had breakfast here- very good food at average prices for Kona. Great friendly staff- we spent three hours at the bar with Matthew and Chad as our bartenders watching a Seahawks game and they were fun and entertaining. The peach sangria is excellent! The restaurant is... More

We had dinner here one evening. The fresh seafood was delicious. They also serve breakfast and we had breakfast here three times. Their breakfasts are very good and more reasonably priced than our hotel breakfast. Recommend the fresh fruit plate and the coconut/macadamia nut French toast.

Stopped by for breakfast and dinner; eggs Benedict was a wonderful breakfast - the artichokes starter was amazing, and the crab cakes were delicious! Great view, great service!

We love fish tacos and Fish Hoppers has the best on the Big Island of Hawaii. During happy hour you can get 2 loaded tacos for less than half the price of the dinner menu -- only $6 vs. $16. Taco fish is the catch of the day -- Ahi, Ono, or Mahi. Lots of great stuff on the menu... More

We came at 6 pm on a weekday. It was busy but not totally full. We lucked out and got a table near the window (the windows are all open spaces, no glass). We got the calamari for an appetizer. It was fantastic. Squares of steak, not rings, fried crisp. The fish and chips was made from ono as their... More

We walked into this place just to have a drink and we realized it was happy hour; This is the best time to come here. Whether you drink or not, you'll enjoy the special menu. Hawaii can be expensive, but this is one of those quiet secrets the locals like to keep to themselves. Mark the bartender is so nice... More
