A nice place to sit by the crashing waves with your feet in the sand. They have seating on the concrete section but your in paradise so sit in the sand with your shoes off.

The food was delicious and fairly priced; the waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. We ate with our bare feet in the sand. We overlooked the sunset and the ocean. Our daughter, 8, was called up on stage to participate in the hula performance and she loved it; the performers were so sweet to her. During our 2 weeks in... More

Huggo's on the Rocks was a very fun place for dinner, drinks and hang out while in Kona. Our table was in the sand, with an ocean view and tiki's lit. The restaurant didn't let us down, great music, great food and great atmosphere. I ordered beef taco's and my bf ordered the blacked fish taco's. The food was good... More

This was a perfect place to begin our time in Kona. We sat at one of the tables in the sand that overlooks the ocean. Really beautiful! The breeze was perfect on the hot day too. Our waitress was super friendly and helpful when making drink recommendations. I ordered a pulled pork sandwich and my husband ordered a French dip.... More

Eat great food while sitting at a table, with your feet in the sand, lots of water activity to watch including a nice point break where advanced surfers play when the break is good. Shops and activities everywhere around, waitresses are nice. Do not go before 11:30, another crew runs breakfast before 11:30, and they are rude.

In the morning until 11:00 AM they have very good omelets and coffee. Sit at tables on the sand on the beach and watch the waves break 10 feet away. This is where you come to decompress. At night they have Super live entertainment and dancing on the sand until midnight. It is a great people watching place. The food... More

Our family of 4 including 2 sons (one high school and one college student) were staying in Waikoloa. On the night we did the Manta Ray night snorkel, we planned to leave early so we can have dinner in Kona. We selected Huggo's on the Rocks in Kona and we were glad that we did. The atmosphere of being on... More

Huggo's is one of my favorite seaside bars in Kona. They typically do coffee in the mornings, and fun sunset drinks by evening. What makes them especially fun is that their entire patio is covered in sand. Relax, grab a drink, watch the sunset. Expect tourism-bar prices.

Loved Huggo's on the Rocks. Kids really got a kick out of sitting at a table in the sand. Great views, service was excellent - kids couldn't eat their food fast enough. Lava flows were outstanding and meals were excellent. Great place to have a long lunch/cocktails.
