Food is excellent. A popular restaurant at the Four Seasons Kona. We generally had the catch of the day for dinner. Lively, fun.

It's "upscale". We all know what that means. And it is on Hawaii, where everything is expensive. So I expect to pay more here. And I did. Our meals were very good and the location is also very good. The part that I found shocking was what they charged for mixed drinks. Get ready to pay $18 for a Mai... More

Imagine sipping ice cold mango mai tais as you lounge comfortably on teak furniture. The warm tropical breeze cooling your skin, you close your eyes and listen to the relaxing sounds of the surf. Open them, look directly out on the ocean past the "beach tree" and bear witness to one of the most beautiful sunsets your mortal eyes will... More

Service at the Beach Tree was excellent. While it rained the evening we visited, they did a great job of moving the tables under cover (even though it did get a bit crowded), and there was still an excellent view. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Unfortunately, the food didn't quite live up to the surroundings. We started with... More

We weren't staying at the Four Seasons, but further up the road at Mauna Kea (the beach here isn't as nice) and came down for dinner here. It truly is one of the most wonderful spots for dinner on the beach with the sun setting over the ocean. The food is more casual as is the seating and service. This... More

We didn't stay at the Four Seasons, but we enjoyed a long, leisurely lunch at Beach Tree that made us wish we could. Despite not being guests of the resort, we were treated like royalty by the waitstaff here. Everything was delicious. I started with the mango gazpacho, and it was so refreshing and flavorful. My husband, who isn't generally... More

I like the accessibility of the Four Seasons while not actually staying there. The open air bar is great, views galore and great live music. (just remembered the music and elevated my rating to VG). The prices for most drinks are high, but its to be expected. The food is average to a bit better, but its mostly fancy bar... More

This is a very difficult review to give because we had great food and service, but a lousy experience. We ate at the Beach Tree in April 2014. On the reservation, we indicated that it was a birthday celebration. We made the reservation about 5 months ahead of time as I wanted to make sure we had a good table... More

Restaurant is beautiful, right on the beach. The grounds of this resort are gorgeous--this is the place I would love to stay if we ever return to the Big Island, if this cost is not prohibitive. Wonderful food, great service, and they know gluten-free! They brought out gluten-free bread with the bread service, and the waiter was very knowledgeable about... More
