An amazing dinner and a beautiful view

My husband and I didn't stay at the Four Seasons but wanted to get out of the city and have a nice dinner. This was a great choice! We sat on the balcony and while there isn't an ocean view the palm trees made a very nice backdrop for the sunset. We both had a seafood dish and my husband... read more

The steak was overpriced but cooked appropriately. We like our steak medium rare and that was done. I would recommend the Italian Sangiovese wine on the menu as both cabs we tried were too heavy and sweet, even the Pinot was unusually sweet. Make sure you order a corner table if you want minimal noise as this restaurant is loud.... More

Overall, my Husband and I had a great meal at Hualalai Grille during our stay at the Four Seasons. We decided to go to the grille one night as a splurge meal to celebrate. The restaurant it very pretty and open air, but we went at night and didn't get to really enjoy the view. I found the tables to... More

Very good steak house that is over the golf shop and overlooks the golf course. When I am in the islands though I prefer to be near the water. The food is very good though.

Staff worked well with my somewhat persnickety tastes. I requested my wine be decanted several hours before dinner. No problems. The staff and our waiter recognized the type of wine we had and discussed with us. Food options were tasty and not overtly complex or overwhelmed with 'fancies' Good solid stake. Easily as good, if not better than, Hys in... More

Truly an amazing experience from service, setting and quality of food. The location and setting was just priceless. The welcome from the staff is warm and genuine. We started with the food platter to share followed by porterhouse and filet. No need for explanations except that it was cooked to perfection. A true experience

If you're in the mood for steak, definitely try this place! I only took one bite from my husband's bone-in ribeye, but it was delicious! I opted for their fish special and our teenage daughter ordered the seafood pasta. She was able to order a smaller portion (less seafood, but same amount of pasta), which was exactly what she wanted.... More

Pro: Good food; nice roasted beet salad and an ordinary diner salad. Good steaks, great macadamia nut ice cream cake. Cons: Expensive wine, even by the glass ($15--25.00/ per glass). Too many different servers. The 'head waiter (?)' could not bring us bread; the 'bread server waiter' could only do that. Even the different waiters got confused and brought us... More

Last night we ate at the Hualalai Grill at the Four Seasons for the first time. While wines are pricey, the quality and selection was very good. We regularly eat fresh fish from Kona waters so we all (ourselves and our neighbors) ordered steaks. The women ordered the filet and the men ordered the New York Strip. We all had... More

The Grille is a very strange place. We had five uncoordinated people waiting on us. This was not organized service just people who were tripping over each other. Three people asked to take our cocktail order. The person who introduced himself as the one who would be taking care of us disappeared after the introduction. It was a very annoying... More
