I've been coming to this place for 15 years and all I can say is that the best breakfast in my life is a bowl of oatmeal, or cinnamon pull apart watching the sun come up in Kona. The views are unsurpassed and the breakfasts are great, as all most of the servers. When I retire I want to come... More

Great breakfast spot along Aili Drive overlooking Kona Bay. Perfect stop before heading south for some water activities.

This is an excellent restaurant for breakfast or any meal. Service is excellent and menu offers many choices. The excellent coffee and baked goods are a real draw in the morning while enjoying a view of Kailua/Kona Bay activity.

Food and coffee was delicious! I had the fish eggs Benedict and it was one of the best Benedict's I have ever had! My dirty chai latte was also delicious. They are usually packed so I suggest making a reservation. While the view is awesome, it can be a little awkward if you get stuck at the table on the... More

Like most food on the Big Island, it's pricey, but the quality is great. I had a fabulous eggs Benedict, which was served on a croissant rather than an English muffin, and it was delicious. The hollandaise was clearly homemade and the accompanying potatoes were yummy too. The freshly squeezed juices are incredible, and the coffee, like much of that... More

This is a perfect island cafe - located right across the street from the ocean, so you can sit outside and hear the surf. The service is great and the presentation is excellent. The cafe looks fresh and clean, the meals look great on the pictures. So if you want that island vacation experience - here you go. Speaking about... More

The food was excellent. Pork spareribs were as good as they get. Really nice waitress but brought out 3 meals, then after asking got the fourth. One plate of lasagna came out cold. That morning we had gotten close to the best cinnamon rolls we've ever had. Just were disappointed with the service.

This is our fourth visit to the Big Island in as many years and the first thing we do once we are settled is walk down to Island Lava Java for dinner. We take our own wine because they don't have a liquor license and before we are settled into our seats the wine glasses and ice bucket have arrived... More

Great location, good view. Had the ahi tuna sandwich, it was delicious. They seared it and left the middle raw, just as I asked. Wife had the salad, wasn't anything special.Drinks were great staff was great.

Loved the food. If you want to go for breakfast, get there around or before 8:00am. We ate here twice, both times were for breakfast. You are across form the ocean. We enjoyed watching the surf crash as we ate. We enjoyed the ISLAND EGGS BENEDICT, “ISLAND STYLE” pancakes, and the Volcano pull apart (we had it warmed).
