Best Thai Food

Love their food. Their Pineapple rice served in a pineapple is a must. So are the basil rolls as an appetizer. We also always order a curry dish. They are all excellent. Last time I was there I forgot my credit card. They were closed the next day so I went back day after and they had it for... read more

They serve a fried rice dish in a hollowed pineapple half. It is yummy. Many of the regulars were having it so my wife tried it. She enjoyed it as well. Not overly seasoned so most folks will enjoy their food. In a shopping strip mall, no ocean view. Wlking distance to many condos south of Kona proper.

We have eaten here several times and enjoy the food and atmosphere. The pineapple rice is my favorite. Usually we share so we get to enjoy other entries.

We enjoyed a Thai meal right after our arrival. We had a 10% off coupon from our resort. The meal was yummy and the service good. Located in the Keauhou shopping center real close to our resort.

The service was some of the best I have had on the island. We came in late (8:30pm) when other restaurants had stopped taking walk-ins. They were eager for our business, didn't rush us, and had great food. Their fried rice was the best!

Food came quickly and tasted OK, but lacked the Thai flavors we are use to. Small servings of rice charged USD2 each, again we are use to charge per head of as much rice you like. Overall served its purpose of a quick dinner to eat but not authentic thai, we didn't try other Thai on the island so not... More

We had pad thai here on our first visit to the Big Island as well as on our second visit four years ago. So it shouldn't be a surprise that we ate there again on this year's visit. As expected the meal was quite good. Our only objection was that the main dish was served at the same time as... More

We either eat in at the Royal Thai Cafe or get take-out once a week during our winter's on the Big Island. In our opinion, it's the BEST THAI on the Island! Classic Thai preparations with wonderful, interesting, flavor profiles, literally everything that we have ever ordered has been excellent or better. It's pretty hard to say that about any... More

The Royal Thai Café sounds like such an elegant place...but it is found in the Keauhou Shopping Center in Kailua Kona. We probably never would have gone in, had it not been for our host in Kailua Kona's recommendation. And Gary was right again...marvelous food. Service was terrific...friendly and fast. The food was super hot...in many ways ( and you... More

A little out of the way, south of Kailua Kona, this Thai restaurant is worth the few miles drive from the hustle and bustle of touristy Kailua. It is in Keauhou Shopping Center, but once inside you forget you are nestled between a movie theatre and a Subway. I LOVE their chicken satay! The food is presented attractively and is... More
