This hidden gem has some of the best sushi on the island and it's cheap! A little hard to find and it doesn't have a place indoors to eat but great for take out. Usually a line but worth the wait. Some unusual rolls and also sushi pizza which sounds strange but is actually amazing. The rolls are large (8... More

This is a surfers hang out. Good reasonable sushi and you choose your own ingredients for the roll. It is not a nice location so plan to take out.

We had free lunch today for a co-worker's birthday, since I have never had tried anything in this place, I wanted something familiar and easy to eat. My manager went there to order the food, unfortunately, they open to the public at 12:00pm, so, we got our food at 1:15 already. I had to go back to work, I brought... More

It can be a little tricky to find as it's behind the main street buildings. it's a nice place for a quick lunch or take out. Given I say quick the wait can be long sometimes, I think we've waited 20 mintues before and prime lunch time on a weekend. Super tastey. There is a small outside patio but the... More

My kids are 1/2 Japanese and we know our sushi. Very, very fresh salmon and tuna rolls, excellent miso soup. You can make your own combo. They have limited seating but it is nice to take a roll to the waterfront! Big Rolls. Great for the $. Loved the feeling of being in a real sushi place in Japan but... More

It's just what a sushi lover looks for :-) a place where you are the chef and can decide what comes in your own roll. Great place to take the food away, as the place itself is very small. Fresh and yummy sushi.

Hayashis Make Tour Own Roll is a little hard to find, but well worth the effort! It is inside a marketplace on Alii Street. Its sushi has excellent taste, ample portion size, great value, and is quite popular. There seems to always be a line waiting to order to eat at a few outside tables or to take out. We... More

Maybe its because I was running around the day I tried this. Or maybe it was the couple of circles around the parking lot to find it. For some reason, Im not as overjoyed as others were by eating here. Yes, it's good. Or solid, sushi. Yes, it's cheap, as compared to everywhere else on the island who has sushi.... More

Five years ago i absolutely hated sushi but i never had tried it. This is where i had my first roll. And ever sense i can not enough. They need to expand to a better location with indoor seating. but besides that ten stars!

Ive had sushi all over the world and this place ranks near or at the top. Hard place to find but its up an alleyway off of Alii street near Uncle BIllys hotel and right beside Sams Hideaway bar. Its closed sundays but closes early, around 6pm or so. You can take out or eat at some tables outside the... More
