Good but not great.

Atmosphere was lacking personality. Food was savory and flavorful. I had the shrimp Penang Curry. I had to peel the shrimp would have been nice to only have to deal with the tail. The best was the sweet and spicy edemame. I finished my dinner with a Thai iced tea.

I was looking forward to eating here. The menu looked really interesting with a range of fusion items. Unfortunately the execution left a little to be desired. A starter of tempura soft shell crab was really nicely presented but had too munch crunch of batter and not enough squish of crab. Pineapple prawn stir fry was a bit dry and... More

Beside to visit this place while in Kona! I have been coming here often since my return to the island, the food is good but nothing to write home about. My biggest complaint is that the if I order three items, they come in quick succession. I never finish one item before the others arrive. Give me a chance to... More

It was pretty good, nothing too exciting from my perspective. No real complaints but nothing that was too memorable.

A friend and frequent customer of Lemongrass Bistro recommended we go for lunch...here is why it was an excellent choice. Located in a crowded strip mall on a busy corner, Lemongrass Bistro offers indoor and outdoor seating. We were seated promptly and tended to by our waiter. Our friend suggested we share the green papaya salad, which was a freshly... More

My wife and I were in the mood for some spice so we walked from our hotel to Lemongrass. It's a small place with just a half-dozen inside tables of which half were filled on the weeknight we went. Tasty curries with just about the right amount of heat. Reasonable selection of beer and wine, though we didn't try the... More

Our friends had recommended this place for bowls of noodle soups in different styles. Yes, they have pho. I had the noodle bowl with short rib. Broth was excellent as well as the meaty hunks of short ribs. Wife had great ahi tuna salad

My family and I tried Lemon Grass Bistro recently and we loved it so much we returned 2 days later to eat the same meal. The Panang curry is excellent. Not too sweet like some Thai places make it. The Mahi Mahi with Green curry is exceptional. It was by far one of the best meals I had on the... More

I just don't like lemongrass. I've tried over And over bc the location is convenient and the atmosphere is pretty cool inside.. But the food and service is really terrible. Their 'curry' and 'Tom yum soup' is definitely not what you expect to get at an authentic Thai restaurant . Watery and flavorless. Last time I went I had to... More

The place is small, parking is tight, the food is average, and the waitress had no personality or interest in making diners feel welcome. We ate outdoors overlooking the parking lot and noticed quite a few people going to another restaurant in the small mall. Maybe it is would be a better choice.
