Fresh and tasty

We wanted to try everything, and even late in the day when we visited, there were still 6 varieties left. Of course, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs and we bought too much! We were glad when a local gave us a breakfast idea: sear the leftover poke and serve with eggs. DELISH! My only... read more

The food is always tasty and fresh, and the people working there are always nice. Have some poke each time you drive by.

Everything the other viewers mentioned and more. The staff was incredibly helpful and patient, offering tastes of whatever we wanted with a smile. The food was excellent, fresh, good varieties of taste, good value. The only shortcoming is there is minimal seating, but that gives a chance to meet the other diners.

This is a surfer spot and parking was tight, but we really enjoyed this "local" establishment. Fortuantely, a couple of guys in line ahead of us gave us some recommendations. Great lunch spot!

Not only do they greet each and every customer with aloha and a giant smile, but they have only the freshest cuts (ono grindz) and it can be freshly prepared in like 5 minutes if they run out while you are in line.

I went wanting to eat poke (raw fish, kind of like ceviche but with a more japanese/tropical hint). They had 4 varieties of poke, never frozen. Shoyu (soy sauce), Contest winner (a kick of spicyness, and some macademia I think), Avocado aoli and Shack special honey and miso iirc. You get the choice of two poke's per bowl, a side... More

The worker explained everything to us. I ordered the Kailua pork and my husband ordered two different kinds of poke. The food was so filling for the price!'

The poke selection is the largest I've ever seen. The Wet Hawaiian has a balance of the right flavors, and was the first destination when we arrived in Kona on a hot afternoon. There is limited seating, and ample parking in the front, but the turn around is relatively fast, alternatively take out and head down south to Kahaluu Beach... More

if you love raw fish, sashimi and poke, then you must visit this jewel in the crown of all things poke on Ali'i Drive. We've been there many times and their prices are reasonable, the poke fresh and local, with a variety of marinades and other interesting food items besides poke as well. On our recent visit we discovered they... More

Had lunch at Da Poke Shack. My wife and I shared a plate and that was enough food for the both of us. Children we were with had the pulled pork, rice and edamame beans. Everyone in our party loved the food here. In 7 days on the island this was the best meal we had. Fish was fresh and... More
