The service is fast and friendly. The poke is awesome and the prawns are cooked to perfection. My favourite was the seaweed salad!!! Not alot of parking though and sitting outside was nice but had to leave because of the flys and those darn birds come right on the table and stand 1 foot from your food. It get's annoying.... More

Poke was recommended by our surf instructor for lunch. The staff was gracious and explained the menu to us. Their specialty is raw fish, but they also have cooked fish (they called it fried, but it isn't deep fried). It was delicious and filling. It's a small place, but they have a bright sign. We drove right by and had... More

I'm a regular visitor to Kona and with out a doubt, Da Poke Shack is the best Poke around. Always fresh ( important with fish --right???) and great counter service. The will run out of certain types of poke during the day so come early for the best selection. They have Kalua pork and Huli Chicken for non poke eaters.

My wife and I decided to try the restaurant to see how it compare to Ono's in Waikiki. I can say it was slightly better than Ono's. It was a 5 minutes drive from our hotel and lucky enough it was not busy. We decided to get a pound of Hawaii's favorite to our hotel to go with a bottle... More

This place is easy to miss, as it's sort of hidden, but you MUST eat here if you're in the Kona area. Everything is amazing! All of the fish is so fresh and delicious. The tuna and tako poke that they make is some of the best I've ever had. The prices are very reasonable as well.

I'm glad I stopped by this tiny little place. There was a wide variety of poke available in the morning, but I stopped in just 30 minutes before closing, so they only had one type left. I wish I had known that it was just a to-go place - I would have planned better. Parking is limited to 15 minutes,... More

Our cabin was located just down the road from Da Poke Shack and it was our go-to lunch nearly everyday of our trip. The price varies with market price, but when we were there a poke bowl was about $10. This includes a scoop of any of their delicious pokes, a scoop of rice, and a side. The sides ranged... More

Meets the hype for this #1 rated poke! Very fresh ahi with so many great flavors! My fave was the kukui nut marinade. Great choices for rice or quinoa (bowl or plate) and very reasonable prices. Also loved the edamame wild rice salad. Get there early for most choices!

This place is a gem and worth going out of your way for. We had Poke, Pulled Pork and roasted chicken. The hot plates are an incredible value, easily shared with 2-3 people for one sitting. The Poke was great and lives up to its name. Poke is $$$ (2 x sm.container maybe less than a cup each of Poke... More
