Nice Breakfast Outside

We really enjoyed our breakfast at Bongo Ben's. I had eggs, bacon, fresh fruit, and a homemade cinnamon roll. I could only taste the roll but it made a great snack later at our condo. My husband had eggs, hawaiian sausage, hash browns, and pancakes. We both had coffee. Everything was real good and... read more

First of all, the dining area is outside (but covered with a roof) across the street from the Pacific Ocean. The view was awesome. The food was amazing, the staff was super friendly, and the prices were surprisingly inexpensive. We came for dinner one night and breakfast two days later. Both experiences were wonderful. It was my favorite place to... More

We ate at Bongo Ben's twice for breakfast with a party of 4. Everyone thought the food was very good to excellent. My Eggs Benedict were just short of perfect (slightly overdone poached eggs). Our dining companions' omelets were excellent. Bongo Ben's signature breakfast item is their enormous homemade cinnamon roll. Despite being diabetic, I took a small bite of... More

This place was recommended by a Local so we gave it a try for breakfast. Was so great we went back a second time. All their breads are homemade daily. Highly recommend ordering their cinnamon roll. You can order one and share if you'd just like to sample. Reminds me of the ones my Mom made. We didn't have lunch... More

Bongo Ben's My wife and I dropped in for breakfast. Even though it was 8:30 AM, it was quite busy. The location is outstanding as it is situated on Ali'i Drive and over looks the water. The ideal seats are along the front of the restaurant overlooking the view. The seating on the verandah is still great. They have a... More

The view was beautiful looking over the ocean. I ordered a fruit salad that was about like we would get at home. The fruit was on the green side and not as good ad the fruit we bought at the open market. My husband had fish and chips. The fish is more of a beer batter and was greasy tasting.... More

Arrived At the Kona airport at 7.30pm and by the time we got our rental car and checked in at the hotel it was 9pm. Nothing open at the hotel so we walked down Alii drive and Bongo was one of the few food places open. Our server was a bit slow, but the day manager Liz who was helping... More

Music too loud and food was average. Servers were friendly and quick but the bland drinks and food were a thumbs down. View is impressive.
