This restaurant is right on the main street of Kailua-Kona and a must stop! The menu selections are for everyone one and prices very modest for Hawaii. A must order are the coconut onion rings. They are the best and enough for 4 people.

I live in Kona and have gone to Bongo Bens for years. They use to do a great breakfast. The last two times there for breakfast was sad. The food was cool, potatoes were not done, toast that was still white. You know the French Toast has been sitting when the butter doesn't melt.

Bongo Ben's is a great place for breakfast. The Bloody Marys are $3.95 and are fantastic. The seating is outside with great views of the water. Service was quick and friendly.

While on the Island for a month, my husband and I frequented Bongo's (once for breakfast, once for dinner, and multiple times at the bar for Happy Hour). Bongo's has a great Happy Hour, with some of the best HH drink prices and selected food options, as well as a welcoming atmosphere, and awesome staff. Breakfast - This place is... More

We were seated right at the counter facing the ocean. Fantastic! Waitress was friendly and attentive, and the food was wonderful -- poke and rice, and Hawaiian pizza. Beer was great too.

My partner and I arrived in Kona earlier in the day on a Friday. After having travelled at least 13 hours from Syndey, Australia, we were exhausted. Bongo Ben's caught our eye for our dinner option. They had a good social atmosphere and they were excellently located across the beach on Ali'i Drive. We ordered drinks to start with -... More

We had contacted the restaurant before we left for our holiday as we were undertaking research regarding the gluten free options in Kona and received a wonderful reply which reassured us there were many options from which we could choose at this restaurant. With 3 coeliacs in our group we were really looking forward to the meal here but found... More

Dropped by for lunch a couple of days ago. Service & food were both good. When we got the check, the waitress charged my wife for 2 mai-tai's instead of one. Although it could have been an honest mistake, nobody likes getting ripped-off. Check your receipt before you pay.

Bongo Ben's has great food and drinks. We enjoy going for lunch or dinner. Beautiful setting to watch the sunset and enjoy music too. They have the best teriyaki chicken. Awesome service!

Breakfast here was just wonderful. The service was fast and very friendly, from the hostess who sat us to the guy who brought our water to our actual server. My husband and I ordered the house blend coffee – about half the price of the Kona and it came with a carafe of free refills (I know, it seems sacrilegious... More
