From my favorite bar to not so much. Favorite bartender Bryan Oakley is gone. He made the bar, knew everyone, makes a great drink and so personable. It was our first stop when visiting Kailua but we just couldn't find the fun any more. Staff seems to be on edge with lots of changes. Has an affect on the patrons.... More

The ambience is very nice and casual. Attendance is excellent. I had the abalones as starters what reminded me of Chilean abalones. Worthwhile paying a visit.

The view from that table at the edge of the water was grea and the food was above average and a little pricey

Huggo's is not inexpensive but it was worth every penny the multiple times I visited on my trip to the big island. The Mai Tai are potent and delicious. The poke is wonderful, and the view at sunset cannot be beat. Splurge and treat yourself to at least one meal here.

I love Huggos and visit every year when I visit the Big Island. The food is always good and the people who work there are very nice. I suggest to go for Happy Hour and spend some time in the bar before dinner. We always get the bartenders to take our picture with our friends and it's a great commemorative... More

This is a great place to eat! They have the BEST chowder!!! It is outstanding! The view is awesome and is a great place to catch a sunset! We had a fish and a steak dish that was great and we really enjoyed them. The staff was very nice and took good care of us.

Great location with a beautiful view. Food was very good. Nice, soft, live ukulele music in the background. We did not save enough room for desert, but our waiter brought a little something that we had to try.

We have been fortunate enough to make multiple visits to the Big Island, and one of our stops has always been Huggo's. We dined there again on Aug 9, 2014. Perhaps it was the late reservation (8pm) or residual impact of Hurricane Iselle on their psyche, but this last visit was not up to par (compared to 2012 and 2010).... More

We selected Huggo's as the location for the first dinner out after arriving on the Big Island. We had requested a table on the water, and were given a fantastic location. The food was superb - from the fresh tuna and poke to the fresh catch of the day - all of it was spectacular. The service was great as... More
