we have been customers since day one, we always know, we'll be getting a tasty meal, some of the sauces created by the chef are dynamite we take friends that visit the island here and are always complimented by our choice, a must while in Kona Daily specials, are really special

We look for the out of the way restaurants that feel Hawaiian to a mainlander. This is one of those places. We didn't need a reservation even though they were busy. Great atmosphere. Quiet but not too and just enough open air. Food was well done with good sized portions at an affordable value. We'll be back.

During Feb. 2014 we ate at Jackie Rey's two times during our annual Hawaiian pilgrimmage. Since our last visit in 2013,a number of things have changed; *The silverware is small cheap & lightweight. Was someone stealing the silverware? Why change *Our food portions were smaller than in previous years. *Three of our four entrees were overcooked *Drinks are overpriced i.e. $5.25 for... Both my wife and I had the Seafood Trio for a main course tasted great and was well presented. I had a Mai Tai which was the best I have ever had. I also had the after dinner Coffee Martini also very good. The best however was the desert the Macadamia Nut Bar for two. It was out of this... More

I had my first lunch here in 2006 when I first moved here and from day one the food has been great. They are not on the Main Street here, and many tourists may not find us, but the locals keep this place busy every day. It may be a bit noisy, but the food is the best, always Ono.... More

We both had fish entrées and we were very happy with our choices. The Mahi Mahi was encrusted with Machiko (rice flour - glutin free) which kept the fish nice and moist. The special fish dish was Mahi Mahi and tuna both encrusted with sesame seeds and was cooked perfectly. A nice family restaurant and lively bar scene with moderate... More

This is my favorite eatery and they are always improving. The new lineup of desserts are just awesome. I use to just get the Lilikoi cheesecake but after tasting the chocolate mousse cake I am determine to try out the other desserts!

This is not a fancy location, but the food was really good and we would definitely eat there again. Lots of locals go there, so reservations are a good idea. It actually fills up quickly.

I loved the lamb. Perfectly done and in a sauce that hinted of the Caribbean but was from New Zeland I think. I thought the sauce had tamarind in it but turned out it was cinnamon. They were memorable!! The service was great as always- its always a fun place to go.
