Appetizers extraordinaire and a super wine list!!!

This menu changes with the seasons, and we had a ahi tartar with an amazing "drizzle" that I could have for every meal, every day! Amazing!!!

We would have never stopped at this unassuming restaurant had it not been recommended in one of my tour books. It's on a main street in town, but not somewhere that tourists are congregating. We arrived at about 4:30 in the afternoon, so we were "stuck with" the happy hour menu. Not as many choices, but the fish tacos ware... More

A bit off the beaten track, but worth the trek. Super friendly family restaurant with great staff. Cocktails were excellent. If available, get the crab tower!

OK, I'll give this place good marks for their happy hour. Good drinks and decent appetizers (pu pus). But that's where is stops. You would think that in Hawaii the fish would be awesome, but not here. I ordered their special macadamia nut crusted Ono. It was fishy, dry, overcooked, lacking in any noticable sauce and barely had any macadamia... More

Went here during our first visit to the big island. So glad we did as the food was amazing, the staff were so friendly, the place itself had a great atmosphere! Would definitely recommend, and would go again!

We almost skipped this place due to some bad reviews, but we were very happy, and will be back, Service was very prompt, servers were helpful, menu was diverse, food was plentiful and delicious -- and not overly priced. Some ocean views and easy parking. We liked that the restuarant is large, and open to tropical breezes, The calamari appetizer... More

The food is very nice and fresh, always prepared with a local flair. It is a pretty small restaurant, so you need to make a reservation if you don't want to wait. I am disappointed with the wine list, but the cocktail list is very good. I usually have the special fish preparation, but this time I got sucked into... More

Jackie O's is not on Ali'i drive, but very near downtown and worth the trip. The menu features catch of the day (Ono when we went) done 4or6 different ways, and many other surf/turf options. They are open air concept with ocean view (if you are there before dark). We all loved our meals. The Kona coffee in the little... More

Great service and excellent food a little pricey for lunch but well worth it. Daily fresh catch. Yummy desserts.

We ate dinner at Jackie Rey's twice during our week-long stay in Kailua-Kona. Both times the food was great and the service outstanding.
