Good food, beautiful setting, a bit touristy

After two unsuccessful attempts to have oysters 'off the beaten path' at the little shack up the road, we ended up here. It was touristy. The prices were average. The service was average at best. The view was beautiful, however, there was no breeze and it was very hot when we visited Croatia-- no... read more

I have been visiting Lim Fjord on a yearly basis for 30 years now and generally eat at the adjacent Fjord restaurant though occasionally here in Viking. I always enjoy the fresh oysters and shellfish so tucked into my first course of oysters greedily. After two I realised that not only the smell but the taste was not as it... More

We were on a lovely cruise of the Lim fjord and decided to stop and eat at the well reviewed Viking restaurant. After sitting for about 7 to ten minutes and having two wait staff continually walk by and not give the slightest recognition or eye contact, I managed to attract one of their attention. The waiter motioned to someone... More

The location is almost perfect, close to the Lim fjord, but far enough away with regards to being eaten by Mosquitos. There is a car park outside which is handy. All the food served felt fresh and was very well cooked. The mixed mussels are a must have if you like that kind of thing. This comes with the native... More

We've been there several times this year and last years also. You must try their seafood salads, mussels, fish, and fried calamary! Calamary are so delicious - you can't miss!

First we had some scallops, then fish soup(skampi, brancin, sampjer), pasta with skampii and a big tasty tuna steak. All the dishes were excelent and tasty. And to finish the dinner we got their homemade ice cream (chocolate with pieces of oŕange in it) with pancakes..the prices are fair for the quality of the food. You should try!

I visit resturant Viking at least once a year. The food is always excellent. Shellfish, fish, crabs - superb. And at reasonable prices. Service is correct, but something there is missing. The restaurant is very nice, the environment is beautiful. I will definitely come back again.

We arrived in late sunny afternoon by a car to try local sea food. I still dream about the rissoto I had and a fish soup. We also tried some mussels and it was all delicious for acceptable prices. The only strange think I don't understand is the service. They seemed quite indifferent to their guests which is a great... More
