We found this place accidentally when we were in Twenty-Nine Palms this past December. Our waitress was super friendly and the food was delicious. We'd certainly recommend it. It was a fun place!

My husband and I looked for a sit down restaurant and we found Carousel Cafe. Yes, the interior looks old and outdated, but it's charm is nice. The waitresses were very friendly. The food was so so and a bit high. I had the spaghetti with meat sauce and my hubby had the meatloaf dinner. The portions are good. Overall,... More

The waitress was very friendly and welcoming. Seating is all booths set in a converted merry-go-round. Food is basic country food (meatloaf, fried chicken, steaks, burgers, etc.), portions are quite generous, and prices are fair.

After driving back and forth several times in 29 Palms settled on the Carousel as our best bet for dinner. Understand why it has gotten such good reviews. Most of the competition in town is fast food. The upside of this place if the staff and food. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We had salmon and lasagna dinners... More

Good basic diner food at a reasonable price. Best for Lunch or Breakfast. Had a roast beef club with French Fries. My partner had a Ruben. Both were fine.

We had to eat at this funky carousel and were glad we did. Initially we were put off because they were crowded and the staff totally ignored us. However, once we were seated the waitress was very friendly and the service good. Good food for very reasonable prices. Seemed to be mostly locals eating here.

Good food, with huge servings (one meal would have been enough for two of us). Fun atmosphere inside a faux carousel. Waitress was super friendly and made our visit a joy.

We were on our way to Vegas and stopped for breakfast here. The service was outstanding as well as the food. I believe this is a family owned business. The portions were large we split our breakfast between us. I am glad we did because we still couldn't finish it. This will definitely be on our agenda when we go... More

Carousel shaped and themed diner - incredibly kitschy without a hint of irony or self awareness. Serviceable diner food - no real complaints, but nothing we would go back for. Service was fine.
