The wait was worth it!

Very basic, wood-panelling decor inside, in keeping with the BBQ theme. We had a long wait for our main meals, about an hour, maybe more - an appetizer would have helped had we known. I did get my green salad during that time - very boring iceberg lettuce and cucumber with bottled dressing. BUT... read more

We stayed in Twentynine Palms for two nights and visited the Rib Co. on both occasions. It was recommended to us as being in walking distance from where we were staying, The Holiday Inn. We arrived at approx 20:40 to find that the restaurant was due to close 20 minutes later. Fearing that they would not serve us I am... More

We were hungry and thought we'd check out this place. Very simple. But the food was great. The ribs and steak were cooked just right. You have to go for their homemade cheesecake, not too sweet!

Based on the raving reviews I had read about this restaurant, we decided to try it out. We were seated right when we walked in as it wasn't too busy on Monday night. My younger son and I ordered sirloin steaks and my husband and older son ordered baby back ribs. With our meals, we each received dinner salads, which... More

My Mister and I ate here on our vacation to Joshua tree in May 2015. The Rib Co. was recommended to us by the staff at the Joshua Tree Inn and they were spot on! When we walked up the grill was smoking out front and smelled delicious! The woman manning the grill greeted us with a smile and showed... More

Best ribs in the U.S.? Maybe. Best Ribs I've ever had? Definitely. Never in a million years would I expect to have the best ribs ever in the middle of the Mojave desert in California. If you are visiting Joshua Tree and staying in 29 Palms (or just passing through) do yourself a favor and pop in for some ribs... More

My son got the 1/2 beef ribs and 1/2 baby back ribs with the mashed pots and salad and biscuits. He said they were the best he ever ate. It is a really popular place. No longer delivers but you can pick up.

My partner and I visited after this place was recommended locally and I wish we had gone elsewhere. The nadir was finding a long hair in C's meal and being told not to worry by the fearsome woman in charge - "It can't be from one of the cooks because they're all men". She did offer a replacement, but told... More

Dropped in for an early dinner. Noticed trucks with Texas plates in the lot. The aroma of cooking meat was enticing. This is a small restaurant on the main drag in 29 Palms. Nothing fancy, but they had excellent service and great food. I bypassed the special of the day, prime rib, and went for a Porterhouse. Good decision. The... More
