Delicious authentic Austrian restaurant

Fantastic lunch after a long morning skiing. The ribs are the signature dish and do not disappoint. The authentic Austrian alpine atmosphere rounds out the experience.

The food was amazing, the wine was very special as it was a bottle a friend of mine had put down 7 years previously! Great idea, you buy a big bottle (2 or 3 litre) and then go back in 5 or 7 years and drink it. The place is stunning, very old and beautiful little nooks everywhere.

When possible we choose to be outside on the large terrace with the wonderful view, on clouded and snowy days we also appreciate the typical chalet style inside. Although this place is large they manage to keep their service very professional, organized, efficient and still friendly in their traditional dresses. It has always been great since 11 years and will... More

We had a large group here for dinner, having caught a cab over from Lech. We started with champagne in the cellar, before selecting a couple of well advised Bordeauxs for dinner. The food and setting were very good, with authentic food, decor and staff uniforms. The service was also very good and attentive. The Hospiz is rather expensive, but... More

We pushed the boat out as this restaurant came highly recommended. In fairness the food was excellent and the surroundings authentic, however the service was terrible. We won't be rushing back.

We were a large group of 20 and had an absolutely fabulous lunch. You really must book and then everything works. Sitting out in the sun with the lederhosen clad waiters bring your beers is a great experience. The food was great, all our group were happy. If you venture inside there is a great room with a large open... More

Opens mid morning; good for coffee but great for lunch – if the sun is shining it’s nice to sit outside; if the sun is not shining then inside is brilliant – bags of character and an internal open fire. Service is varied from very good to adequate; food is not exceptional but is cooked fresh; good music adds to... More

Hospiz Alm is worth one visit just for the building. We find the waiters slightly arrogant and the food mediocre and over priced. Be very very careful in the toilets. The floors are wet and the tiles are shiny. I fell and really bruised my coccyx. I didn't notice any other loos anywhere else in the resort with such dangerous... More

Went for lunch two families with teenage kids, asked for vegetarian choice and was told salad or chips - didn't go down well with teenage son! Food was good, service very slow and waiter rather surly. When asked to pay, everything was done manually and addition was incorrect and had to be redone which didn't go down to well with... More

Great food, great service , first class all around. We had the duck ,which was amazing. The owner sat at our table to say hello and sip some fine wine. The wine cellar was amazing , everything was so grand , even the size of the bottles!
