Burgers are just OK, service is slow or typical for the area. I have eaten here a few times and I can honestly say that for the quality and amount of food... they are overpriced.

It's rare to find someone with Chef Aldo's experience and attitude in a small, out of the way place like Eco Vanao. We stayed in Nov 2012, Aldo had been here just a few months (consider older posts?). Breakfasts were straightforward, we ate lunch on the road as we were exploring. Dinner menu was a chalkboard because Aldo planned the... More

Stopped for lunch. They had no formal menu and what they had was just like every other local restaurant. We had the Ceviche and a fried fish with rice. Both were good and the rice was just plain rice, nothing extra. The beer was cold. The setting was OK. Will probably not go again, unless it is for dinner to... More

Just got back from a trip staying at Eco Venao. Such a nice place! I really liked how close it was to everything while still feeling like you were in your own private part of the jungle. The atmosphere was relaxed and spent some great evenings at the restaurant Bobore with friends shooting stories and eating excellent food. we ordered... More

We ate here 3 meals a day for 7 days and we thoroughly enjoyed each and every dish! You can taste the heart and soul that goes into the food which is so fresh and delicious and very reasonably priced. The service is heartfelt and genuine, and the open air ambiance is so relaxing and tropical. The soft music playing... More

The restaurant El Borbore serves breakfast, lunch and dinner in a beautiful thatched roof rancho, where you are surrounded by tall trees and might see white faced or howler monkeys doing acrobatics. I love this place and have had many lunches and dinners since it opened: delicious Thai coconut curry, paella, seaweed salad, taboule, rice and beans, pad Thai ,... More
