Tatanka Stew Is A Must

Usually restaurants at attraction sites are the usual fast food, however this one offered delights such as bison stew which for us north eastern coast people is a welcoming change, and to top it off, the stew was exceedingly good.

The food was great. We had expected the prices to be high since they had a tourist market with no competition. What a delight.to find the prices felt like a bargain. The all you can eat buffet (we ordered off the menu instead) had many items to choose from as well as dessert. Coffee is free, a sweet thing to... More

We broke our visit with lunch at Laughing Water. We were in the off-season so waiting was not an issue. The Tatanka Stew with buffalo meat and lots of vegetables was flavorful. I love fry bread and that was included with the stew. We were seated where we could look out and up to the monument. For those looking for... More

The view of the monument outside the restaurant is spectacular. As you await the arrival of your food, you glare out the window and find yourself dreaming of the completion of the monument and it's final likeness to the drawings and miniature sculptures that line the campus. I ordered the Tatanka stew which is made from prime cuts of tender... More

We ate here when we went to Crazy Horse. Save your money and aggravation by not eating here. They ran out of hot dogs, can you believe that one. The wait to sit in the dining area, to be waited on by staff, was a half hour. They were short of help. Good One!!!! Where is the Manager, pitch in... More

If one wants to experience the Native American culture, why not have the tantanka stew? I did. It was very tasty and is served with fry bread. The amount served was just right. I would recommend it and choose it again myself. The view from the window of the Crazy Horse sculpture was a bonus. And coffee is always free.... More

Stop here for lunch. The food is good and the service is good. You are in a tourist trap so it will cost a little more than usual, but you are on vacation.

Good food, I had the Taco salad which was very tasty. Great desserts too, prices were reasonable. Table near the window provide a view of the Crazy Horse monument.
