Friendly Good Place to Stop

What a charmer. Stopped in for lunch with another couple; all four of us were pleased with the food, service, and atmosphere. Wait staff was wonderful. Our thanks to the other reviewers for their comments about this restaurant or we would have missed it. We stopped for a late breakfast. I had the Eggs Benedict; husband had vegetarian omelet. Both were served with the best hash browns ever; hollandaise sauce was perfect. Later, for lunch, we tried the buffalo meatloaf and gravy with mashed potatoes and... More

Hands down, this was our best meal while visiting Custer State Park. From the bison stew to the homemade sweet corn bread, bison meat loaf, to steaks. The portions served to the flavor, this was wonderful. Our meal was less expensive than the State Game Lodge, and we loved Blue Bells' taste more. Seasoned perfectly. Highly recommend and you might... More

We stopped here for coffee and ended up getting dessert! Really nice and friendly staff throughout! Definitely would come back again and eat. There is also a full bar!

We stopped here for a late lunch after becoming concerned about the lack of restaurants open in the off season. We had a lovely meal in great atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome even though they were closing for the season in 5 days. Would definitely go back.

We were enjoyin our drive thru Custer State Park, it was about 3PM and we were hungry, suddenly we drove by the Blue Belle and gave it a try. Walked in and the woodsy smell from the fireplace with the elk above reminded me of the Big Moose Inn at Millinocket Lake,ME. It was a welcome sight. Service was friendly... More

We were lucky to be driving through off season and stopped for lunch. The restaurant was clean and the food adequate. What make this place special is the building, location and decor. It was also very clean.

We stopped here for a late lunch during a drive through Custer State Park in the middle of October. Because this was the very end of tourist season, we weren't sure what to expect. The service was outstanding, and all four of us enjoyed our food. This was a quick and easy place to enjoy a sit-down lunch with our... More

We were touring Custer National Park and on our way to the wildlife loop when we came upon this charming restaurant. The atmosphere was very nice with a great stone fireplace complete with a fire on a cold October day. Lunch was very good and the service as well. Two of us had the pulled buffalo and it was good.... We were relieved to find this nice lodge after a long drive with no services. And, better yet, lunch was very good. We sat outside on the patio and enjoyed a glass of California wine while waiting for our lunch. It was nice to find a delicious and very satisfying fresh salad among the more traditional offerings. Good service and... More
