Came to Custer State Park for a wedding and knew we'd need lunch beforehand. After reading about this location, we knew we needed to give it a try. Who doesn't love the promise of a good burger? Well, I promise that's what you'll get! I honestly don't think I've ever had a more satisfying burger and I'm not sure how... More

We went here this weekend for lunch. My fiance's brother and wife came to visit us from Denver and we took them here after spending time at Mount Rushmore. Great food at a very reasonable price. We ordered the cheese curds for appetizers (being from Wisconsin I'm picky about cheese curds from any other place, but these were actually pretty... More

Outstanding burgers! Definitely go out of your way to get to Custer and this little burger joint. It will be worth the wait (for six of us to be seated together it was about 15 minutes at noon mid-week). Service was warm, friendly and full of smiles with lots of attention to our two pre-school grandchildren who loved their kids'... More

We love visiting the Black Hills and Black Hills Burger and Bun Co. is certainly one of reasons we travel that direction often. My wife an I are planning a return trip to the Hills in the spring. You can be assured that we will eat a meal or two or three at Black Hills Burger and Bun Co. In... More

had great beers burgers and nachos- skip the pork on them. Place is really busy. We left our name and walked the town for 45 minutes. It is quaint and worth the stop

We ordered hamburgers made with buffalo meat. However, the real joy of this restaurant is how the hamburgers are prepared -- with a wide variety of different sauces, cheeses, garnishes and meats to take them well beyond the standard "hamburger" experience. I, for example, had a "Hot Granny" with cream cheese, jalapeños, bacon, and a sweet and spicy sauce --... More

Be sure to plan ahead as this place is ALWAYS busy. The burgers really are that good. We got one buffalo and one beef and actually preferred the beef as it was more juicy and flavorful.

this place was recommended as an award winning place, however the service was disjointed and the staff got visibly annoyed when we asked a waitress who was not our designated one when we wanted something, but as we hadn't seen the designated one for a while we felt justified in this. The drinks order was mixed up. The food was... More

Finally got back into this place as tourist season has wound down. Their burgers were great as usual and the line to get in was down from the summer overflow they had. I had their sour cream raisin pie with my burger which was great. Fries were good.

Fresh, fresh, fresh! This is the best burger and beans I've ever had, and they have gluten free buns!
