We were staying in Custer to visit Mount Rushmore and spent a morning checking out downtown Custer. We had seen the reviews for Black Hills Burger and Bun Co so we went there for lunch. There was a waiting list when we arrived, but it was about 25 minutes. We walked to a nearby store and then came back in... More

Obviously this is a burger place so that's what you go for. But prices were great and everything was hand & made fresh. The coleslaw was amazing, best I've ever had, it's the little stuff like that that really make an impression. They are local family owned, even pictures on the wall were done by family. We had a late... More

I am not a burger fan, my husband is , so after reading all the reviews and hearing all the good stuff about this place we decided to go there last night. We got there around 7pm and they were sold out :( ( they homemake their buns, if they run out, they close early) . I was kinda expecting... More

We arrived at 11:15 am (they open at 11:00). We were told it would be a 45 minute wait for a seating for two people. It's a small place so we said okay, we would walk around and be back in 45 minutes. We finally were seated at 12:25pm. So the wait to be seated was 25 minutes longer. The... More

This tiny restaurant was worth the wait. We put our names in for our party of 5, then a few of us walked around downtown for a bit. Once we were seated, the wait staff was efficient, and friendly. The burgers were outstanding, and the pickles were so good!

So we showed up early for lunch and still waited 45 min. I was well worth the wait. The shop is small, the staff is hard working and the food is awsome. Everything was homemade and tasted it. Wheat buns were wonderful. We ordered the Texan and the Hot Granny, both delish. My daughter had a kids burger and she... More

Fresh, local ingredients combined with creative burger creations made this the best burger place I've ever been in. Combine that with excellent, friendly service and a small (but very well done) seating area, and you end up with a perfect little burger place right where you would never expect it. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience so much that we made... More

My wife and I had eaten here before over a year ago. We were passing through the Black Hills again and made it a point to stop in for a late lunch. When we arrived they were on a three hour mid-afternoon break. )Good for them! Not so sold-out to the all mighty dollar.) We waited till they opened again... More

Unbelievable burgers. I was SO pleased that they had gluten free buns. What a relief for a weary mom needing to feed her gfree child. Thank you BHBB!

We arrived at 7:35PM and was turned away because they were out of food already. We planned our trip to stay in Custer just to eat at this BHBB. So go early so you get the chance to eat.
