My daughters wanted to eat at a food truck while on vacation. Custer just happened to have one so we tried it. It was very good. The chips and salsa were the only disappointment. Everything else was excellent.

Enough said. Go for the tamales, and probably anything else on the menu. Maria's stand is next to the local VFW, and worth a stop. The service was excellent and friendly. The food rivals the spanish market my husband and I frequent when we have a craving for authentic spanish cuisine. I like it so much, I'm already looking forward... More

My husband said the tamales were great, but the refried beans were terrible! I ordered a beef burrito (without refried beans) and was pleased. If you order a kid's meal, please check dates on applesauce. Ours had a date of 2/6/2014. Our visit was in May 2014. Staff was friendly.

Was downtown Custer this summer and decided to eat at Maria's Mexican with my wife and son. The food was great, the service was excellent, and the prices were just right. Just wish there was a place to sit with the food out of the wind. My 4 year old's plate went flying in the wind and...well you know how... More

You would almost miss this place if you weren't paying attention, but it is not to be missed. I had the best homemade pork tamales ever! Go early because they will sell out. Really enjoyed the food. Maria's is right next to the VFW post in town.

After the reviews, we were excited to try this place and we were not disappointed. We were exhausted and brought the food back to our hotel. it hit the spot! They will custom make items for you and had great sauces and salsas! Definitely would eat there again!

Everything is hand made not pulled out of the freezer and you can tell it!! The homemade chipotle salsa is to DIE for!! I had the chicken enchiladas and they were very good! Next time I will have them drenched in the chipotle salsa instead of the salsa verde. The tamales were very good also! They also have Mexican Coke!!... More

Ate here upon reading reviews and craving Mexican food, and it did not disappoint! At first the prices seemed a little steep for a food truck, but once I tasted the food, it was well worth it (and more food than it seemed!). What really makes the food are the wonderful salsas. We tried the hot salsa (guacamole) and the... More

Our order was "to go" and it included one each of the beef and port tamales and a ground beef burrito. Maria included a selection of sauces from mild to hot (not too hot). It didn't take long for us to get back to our trailer as the aromas were delicious! I have to say that I haven't had any... More

We swung by on our way through town, and were pleasantly surprised. The food was good and freshly made and quick. It was tasty and very similar to the food in Colorado. It was a bit pricey, but we appreciate the fact that it isn't a chain.
