Enjoyed the menu selection and the food was quite good. Servers need more training interacting with customers and anticipating needs (more water another drink, dessert?). Hostess was not friendly.

We went there as part of the Mount Rushmore Tours. Very nice selection, and the Buffalo Stew was great! Nice waitress, who was attentive.

We stopped for lunch last weekend and had the buffet. Service was good, food was good, and atmosphere is really cool. If you are in the state park I recommend it.

Good service and good food. Convenient and atmospheric in small dining room. Dark interior but so much to enjoy.

We stopped at the State Game Lodge just to take pictures as we came out of Custer State Park, but decided to eat there because the food in Keystone was so bad. The dining room is very impressive and obviously of a higher grade than what you find in Keystone (probably because it costs quite a bit to stay at... More

After a drive through Needles and Game Preserve we stopped at this historical spot for some adventurous eating. The food was delicious!

Since we stayed over at the Creekside Inn for couple of nights, we ended up eating here for several days. One thing we learned fast was that if you see the dining area full, the wait for food coming out of the kitchen will be long. The lady at the front mentioned if we waited long the night before and... There are not very many places to eat lunch right in this area, so this restaurant enjoys a monopoly on the trade. The tour buses stop here and the big thing is the lunch buffet. Nothing special there, but lots of steam table food and gooey rich desserts, so you can definitely fill up and sleep the rest of the... More

We actually enjoyed the lunch buffet at State Game Lodge. The food was very fresh and a good variety. Two choices of meat, various salad options. Tasted hot and fresh. We ordered off the menu for breakfast because a bus crowd had eaten up the buffet food. Breakfast was not included in our rate. The ala carte breakfast items were... More

The park offers great dining choices, with great variety. This restaurant seemed to try to hard to be fancy. The wait staff argued with each other, service was slow, and it really didn't live up to the decadence that they seemed to try to portray. We missed a park program because the meal was so slow.
