nice lunch buffet

We stopped here for lunch and it was nice to take a "civilized" break in the middle of our day of touring. When seated you can opt to order a la cate or can have their buffet. Either way, there are very nice, attentive wait staff and cool beverages and comftable seating at nice tables. You... read more

A wonderful lunch break. After viewing the many animals and buffalo right next to our car, we took a lunch break. We ordered the bison stew. Very large portion and delicious. Attentive wait staff and efficient. Nice dining room with a little history. Gift shop was also nice. I would recommend. daisyCalifornia

The place not only has great history, but it has great food and drink. Stayed at the Game Lodge and ate here a few times. Each meal was excellent. Try the buffalo steaks!

we landed at an odd time...3:45 pm. Lunch buffet is pulled down at 3:30 so we just ordered off the menu. Bread was yummy, butter was hard. Food was good. Unfortunately we were treated to the staff meeting and got to hear about the health inspector. Yes, these things exist but we don't want to hear about them while eating.... More

This restaurant was a wonderful surprise we found along the loop in Custer State Park. The salad I had was huge with a lot of chicken and delicious fruit. My husband's chicken sandwich with fries was also delicious. Included in the reasonable price were homemade corn muffins. A very relaxing, excellent meal in a lovely log cabin atmosphere. The service... More

The Rattlesnake sausage doesn't have rattlesnake in it, as we were told by our waiter. I had the walleye and it was wonderful. They sell it as fine dining, but if you're looking for something simple and American they have that too.

Stopped here for lunch on our bus tour. Had the buffet & it was very good. Normally not a big fan of roast, but theirs was absolutely delicious. Had to go back for seconds. Skip the rolls. They are unimpressive, and the butter was too cold to spread on them. Butter was located on the opposite end of the buffet... More

We went for an evening of "fine dining". The concept becomes rather convoluted when the third page of the menu is burgers and sandwiches. We ordered the pheasant spring rolls and the rabbit and rattlesnake sausage for appetizers. Both were quite delicious; the sausage dish was nearly perfect, except for the pickled onions on the side, and the spring roll... More

This restaurant has a very friendly staff and manager. It is a white tablecloth restaurant….but, do not let that stop you. The food is excellent. Salads are very large and the steaks were very tasty!! I had the NY strip ($26) which was cooked to perfection. The seasonings were out of this world. One of my daughters had the roasted... More

Our tour bus stopped here for lunch. It actually had once been a lodging for a president on his hunting trip out west. With limited time, I didn't expect much but it turned out to be a real treat. The dining area was rustic, in the sense of log beams but bright and airy. There was a buffet lunch with... More
