We stopped during our travels through Custer State Park. The buffet includes buffalo stew, which is excellent. It is one of my favorites. There were many selections including salads, hot food, and a large assortment of desserts.

We stopped there for lunch expecting typical resort type food. What we found instead was food done very well. There buffet was ok. We opted for the menu. I had a pastrami sandwich which was one of the best pastrami's ever (and I live in the Chicago area and frequent New York so I'm picky). My wife had a very... More

We made reservations to eat here on the day we traveled the Loop Road around Custer State Park. We enjoyed the lunch buffet which has salads, fruit, meat, vegetables, soups, and deserts. The service is good. Our food was all tasty. I wouldn't give it a "10" but everything we ate was more than acceptable.

We stopped here for lunch while going through Custer State Park, and were absolutely delighted with the food and service. We arrived about 11:30, and there were few other diners present, so we were seated at once and orders taken for our drinks. We decided to do the buffet, and were not disappointed. The beef roast was tender and extremely... More

We've been here before, and had been looking forward to out meal all day after driving 6 hours for our stay in the Hills. Had a reservation, seated and served promptly. We never saw our server after he took our order. The bussers did a great job with keeping our water glasses filled, but none of them spoke English, so... More

Great food, great ambience, great staff.. 3 wonderful meals without a single complaint or quibble. A concise menu bringing the diner the best of local produce, imaginatively cooked and professionally served. Highly recommended.

Wonderful location for Mother's Day Brunch or dinner before a show at the Playhouse. - so much fun to see the bison roaming on the grounds.

No menu in this area is without buffalo, but almost no matter how it is served, it is good. The lodge dining room is staffed by summer students and staff, who may not be the swiftest, but they sure are friendly. Don't expect gourmet, but food is good and basically reasonable.

Of course, it is the only place around, if you are staying at teh Game Lodge, but they do not take advantage of that fact. The food iquality s good, with adequate variety and service was great.

We had dinner here twice. Both nights the food was excellent. The first night I had elk osso bucco; the second night I tried the bison sirloin. The elk was outstanding, served with a lovely risotto. My husband ordered it the second night after tasting mine the first night. Our four kids all found something they enjoyed on the menu... More
