We stopped here for lunch and after viewing the menu, our waiter informed us that we only had a choice of 6 items. Not sure why we were given menus in the first place. The salad and the sandwich were good. We were just confused. The lodge is beautiful.

My wife and I came to the area to celebrate our 35th anniversary and chose the Sylvan Lake Lodge for a nice evening meal. I love game options and they offer buffalo, elk, pheasant and walleye. It is not a cheap meal - it is at least twice the price of the meals at the Blue Bell Lodge, where we... More

Unwinding after my hike up Harney Peak I wandered around the lake. Beautiful scenery there and even a wedding was taking place across from where I was. The rock formations are stunning against the water and witnessed a boy and his father fishing from a paddle boat which was cool to see. Great place to spend an afternoon just relaxing... More

We took a picnic lunch and spent a couple hours walking around the lake and taking pictures, if we would have know we would have worn our suits and went swimming. There is a charge to get into the park.

We visited the Lodge with a group of twelve old friends abd had a great dining experience. My wife and I had filets, which were done oerfectly and really tender. The wait staff was good and friendly, and they made an honest drink. None of the group had a negative comment.

During a vacation stay with our extended family, I had four breakfasts, one lunch, and three dinners at the Sylvan Lake Lodge. The wait staff are extremely friendly and focused on creating a good dining experience. Breakfasts are fairly traditional with eggs, potatoes and meat of your choice, or there are great blueberry pancakes, a wonderful oatmeal creme brûlée, and... More

This is the most beautiful lake, bar none. It is very small but it is an eye full. We ate at the restuaurant at the lodge, and the food was very good, and the service was great. This is a great place to stop for a bite and let your behind rest from the wonderful motorcycle ride on the needles... More

We stopped in for lunch after driving up Needles Parkway. Apparently most of their business is in the evening because when we arrived we were the only people in the restaurant and sat on the deck. There is not a view of the lake. Apparently the State Park won't let them cut the trees so you can see the lake.... More

We had lunch here on the terrace. Great Ruben sandwich and a beer, Service was prompt and helpful. Lodge a very interesting building. If you're visiting Custer State Park it is better to stay in the Lodges in the Park; they are more convenient, have better food and you will be able to see the wildlife in the early morning/early... We stopped here on our way through Custer State Park. It's worth bringing a sack lunch and taking the time to walk the perimeter path. The rock formations are stunning and the winding dirt trail is relatively flat. It goes all the way around the lake and passes over a bridge at the far end where the reservoir wall stands.... More
