Service was terrible. Food was good but way overpriced. Our server might have been new, she did not know the menu and overcharged us by about $10. We would not go back.
The Sauerbraten, red cabbage and potatoes were excellent, and oh yea so was the German beer and desert. We were there in late September so it was not crowded and service was outstanding. My brother also enjoyed the food which was amazing. I thought the price was reasonable and the quality of the food outstanding.
This restaurant was recommended be a fellow Canadian who told us how good it was. She was right. It was excellent right from the service to the actual food. My wife and I each had a different German dish and they were both very good-tasty and lots of food. We shared desert and glad that we did as the portion... More
We stayed at the Bavarian Inn for two nights, and ate breakfast and dinner there both days. The food quality, service and prices were excellent. I'd be happy to return again any time! Paul H.
After driving for several hours, it is far too easy to take the least line of resistance and eat locally. By eating locally, I mean eating at the restaurant 'attached' to the motel. I really wish we had gone elsewhere. The food wasn't great - just average and didn't represent value for money - if anything being over-priced and the... More
We are sorry you didn't enjoy your dinning experience. We wish you would have been more specific about what you didn't like so we could improve. We welcome constructive criticism, but we are not sure what made you so unhappy. More
After spending a year in Germany (1969-70) we have tried German restaurants from time to time. This was the best we have had! The staff was courteous & helpful. The Beef Rouladen & the Jager Schnitzel were great.
We arrived early for dinner before visiting the Crazy Horse Monument. The food was decent and served rather too quickly, which let us know it was prepared in advance. The schnitzel was hot and crispy but the spaetzle were an add on instead of being served with, as an authentic German meal would do. The side of red cabbage was... More
Went to this place once by command invitation. My boss must be buds with the owner. The place needs to to be renamed Top of the Hill Custer restaurant or something else besides Bavarian. I never finished my "German" dish. Shoulda ordered a burger or steak like the rest of the "good ol boys". Will not return.
I'm sorry you didn't enjoy your "German Food" which has been given rave reviews by most of our guests. Maybe you should have ordered a Burger or Steak because they are the best in town. I'm just wondering, are you upset with Restaurant or the fact that your boss made you eat there. More
We went twice. Once I got the stroganoff which I do not recommend. It was just beef pieces covered with mushroom gravy and you have to add the sour cream. Nope that's not stroganoff. My husband wisely ordered the wall eye pike. Yum! We had to return a couple of nights later just for the pike which I, too, ordered.... More
The food wasn't horrible but definitely not worth the price you have to pay. The menu consisted of limited choices. I had the stroganof which was OK but they gave me a little tub of sour cream to add myself..disappointing.
