Great spot for dinner and a cocktail (or two!) The walleye /pike cakes were a great variation on the usual crab cakes. Salmon salad was outstanding. Friendly staff! A good choice in Custer

We stayed in Custer for about a week while in the area. We decided to eat at the Buglin' Bull one night. My husband really enjoyed one of their beers and we all had pizza. It was very good. Had we not waited till the end of our trip to eat there, we probably would have went back and tried... More

My Fiance and I were visiting Family in the Area and drove up to Mt. Rushmore. We passed through Custer and wanted to stop for lunch. Unfortunately for us, Custer is only "Open" for Sturgis, the town shuts down for the rest of the year. We came across this and the only open place we could find. There were a... More

We were hesitant, for fear of a bad meal, served to just another never-to-be-seen-again tourist, but, IT WAS A VERY GOOD MEAL! We were surprised at how such an immensely popular tourist area remains so undeveloped, but thankful that Buglin' Bull was there to feed us. No reason not to go here. I had a salmon dish, ... probably a... More

We traveled on a holiday weekend - so I'm sure there was more of a crowd than usual here. We were attracted by the exotic wild game menu, but the first item I ordered was no longer being served, so I settle for the elk stew - which was very good. The seating was crammed, the building was loud but... More

I had the buffalo burger which was very good. It comes with fries but I substituted a salad which is an up charge. Friend had the walleye which he said would have been good but they put a sweat sauce on the whole meal which ruined it for him. Another had the boat shank which they said was good. In... More

My partner and I had two appetizers for dinner and were so full, we could not order dessert. The service was swift and pleasant. The only reason the review was not five stars was that they ran out of their in-house dark craft beer, so we needed to substitute. Definitely try their in-house craft beers!

Ate at Buglin Bull twice on my trip. I had a great Sunday morning breakfast Buffett and a good pizza one evening.

The rooftop deck is the place to be on a warm summer afternoon. You can watch the city from this vantage point. They have several of their own craft beers that are pretty good. The food is good and our servers were good.

Nice place, clean and comfortable and of course the usual high standard of customer service that we get in the US - oh if only we could get some of that back in the UK! However the food wasn't the best we had - acceptable but not great.
