Good food, friendly service

This is nice store front restaurant located in the historic section of downtown Custer. The staff is friendly, good at what they do and the food is excellent. They have a small menu of in house made craft brews, the two I had were good, well worth a try. If there was one negative it would be... read more

Attended a party upstairs. Food was catered by the restaurant and was quite good. Was kept hot, and buffet was refilled as needed. Very friendly staff.

We were looking for an upscale dinner after a busy day of touring, hiking, and some awful meals in Keystone, where we are staying. What a gem. They had a great menu, my husband had the elk and I had the Walleye, each was tasteful, presentation was super after what we had at other dining establishments. Did I also mention... More

We ate on the bar side. It has a very nice atmosphere and south Dakota decor. Each table as a TV on the wall with a remote which was neat. The menu has lots of options including buffalo and elk burgers. I had a basic Angus bull burger which was very good and my husband had a tatanka (buffalo) burger... More

This was the best find of my entire trip. We planned to stop and grab a quick bite before heading over to Mt Rushmore to see it at sunset. We were expecting a burger joint and found a gourment gem! We had the buffalo mushroom appetizers which were delicious spin on the usual stuffed mushrooms. The Buglin' Bull house merlot... More

Stopped here as a weary traveler just hungry and tired. Though service seemed a tad unorganized, food was very good and drinks and local craft beers excellent. Our last dat of trip we stopped just for deserts and a drink to finalize our day. I would definitely recommend and would stop again should I ever be back in area.

Food was ok but service was lacking. Took forever to get our food and drinks and refills forget it. This place is expensive and not worth the money spent.

Stopped in with family, waitress was timely to take drink order, food was delivered fairly quick, food was good, she came back only once to fill drinks, then disappeared, took tracking down another server to get our checks, then had to complain to get them back after we had given our cars to pay, wasn't a great experience

They have the best elk burgers around. The prices were reasonable. If you want to try elk this is the place to go.

Made my way here after a day of seeing the local sights and was pleasantly surprised by the offerings. The atmosphere is fun and lively and the menu has a nice variety, how often do you come across fry bread tacos? They were quite satisfying and so was the walleye dinner entre. Next time I'm in Custer City, SD, I... More
