Liked the old west atmsophere which is what drew us to this place. The food was good but pricey. Took quite a while to get waited on and a lot longer to get the food once ordered. Waitress forgot my cole slaw and by the time she got around to check on us I reminded her but didn't really need... More

The wait staff could take lessons from Cattlemen's which is in the same bldg. Service fair, food fair.

We were interested in the many choices of beer they advertised but they did not have some of the ones listed. The food was average but the waiter was very unfriendly. He acted like he wished we weren't there. He was very impatient with us when we asked a few questions about the food.

Food was just so-so. There was hardly anyone in the place and the service was terrible. Staff didn't work well together...definitely gave the impression they wished we weren't there.

Waitress barely talked and when she did you couldn't hear a thing she said. We has to walk up to ask them to refill out water and soda. Over priced food, terrible service I wouldn't recommend to anyone.

My son had Elk steak which I tried and it was very good (I am not a meat eater). My son said it was the best meal he had in the 12 day vacation. I had a mushroom sandwich and honestly it was not edible but I guess maybe it is not a good idea to order veggie sandwiches in... More

My wife and I and her cousin and her husband were all touring out of Rapid City, SD. We got an early start and did Mount Rushmore and then the Crazy Horse memorial carving. As noon approached, we were all ready for some food and refreshments. We found Dark Horse in our Moon Travel Guide. They had 100 different beers!... More

Good beer, decent burger, great grilled cheese but so-so steak. Steak was on special so it was inexpensive, but a little dry (asked for medium rare but got well done). Service was friendly and nice atmosphere.
