Nothing special - maybe cause they're closing for winter in three days.

Nothing special here. Up three short flights of stairs into an old looking bar. A menu that is a bit pricey for even Custer in the summer. When we arrived at 6:00 pm we were the only ones in the place. They do have a good selection of beers, both in bottles and on tap. A few house wines, non... read more

The food was fair. I hate to give anyone a poor rating but there was hardly anyone in there & I understand why now. The service was also fair. For just 3-4 table of people & 2 waitresses you'd think they would be keeping your water or drinks filled but you'd have to flag them down to get their attention.... More

This was the only eating establishment open in Custer, SD at 9:15 on a Saturday night.! There were a few guys at the bar enjoying their beers and watching televised football games, plus one table of what appeared to be several college students. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and the cook ( who happened to be in the... More

My husband ordered the bison tenderloin, medium. Twice he got the steak, rare. The second time it was rarer than the first. (Why didn't they just continue to cook the first steak?) Finally he ordered a totally different dish. When the bill came, the manager came over, not to offer a discount for his troubling experience, but rather to ask... More

We realize that it is the end of the season, but each of the beers that my husband and our friend wanted was no available. There was plenty of "workers" but not much service. We won't be climbing all those stairs to go back to this place again.

Food was OK. Beer was flat to unflavorful. Has great potential. Nice location and atmosphere. Needs Bar Rescue to clean up the details.

Food was okay, service very limited, the staff acted like it was an inconvenience. The prime buffalo roast was very good, but the BBQ buffalo brisket was way dry and the sides were very commercial. I have no plans to return, it wasn't anything special. But I did enjoy the atmosphere it was very rustic. Meat was fair and it... More

We went here because we were tempted by the big sign that claimed steak and "100 beers." I asked for a beer list and was told it was on the back of the menu. There were maybe 20 beers on tap, so I thought the rest might be bottled. I asked and the waitress named three or four domestic beers... More

This place is kind of hidden by the restaurant in front of it. We initially thought it was all one place. Stopped in for dinner while staying in Custer. It was a Monday night and not busy. Food was good and reasonable. The waitress was super nice but so horribly slow..... We waited forever for our bill before I finally... More
