This has to be the best food in town. Fresh, original creations. The salad with goat cheese is simply fantastic. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Cute, clean place. They are closed on Sunday or we would have eaten there every night we were there.

If you are in Custer and looking for GOOD food, try the Sage Grill. It will cost you much more than other places, but you will be guaranteed of having a delicious meal. Servings were large and well prepared. We had a cajun-style chicken fetticini and a buffalo steak. Both were prepared very well and were huge! The salad was... More

We tried three different restaurants in Custer, and this one was by far the best. They offered a selection of sandwiches and entrees which vairied in price from moderate to slightly expensive. There was also a nice selection of craft beers. My wife had a huge chicken salad, my salmon BLT included a generous portion of salmon and my son... More

Walk in and the walls are decorated with "old" and "current" pictures of all the cool landmarks in the area. They are really neat to look at! Food is great. We had buttered noodles for our 5 yr old, Tuscan chicken sandwich with a tomato bisque soup, and a grilled chicken breast with a house salad. They had a fairly... More

I recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting the Black Hills. As a recent vegan convert (no animal-based foods in my diet), I found some delicious items on their menu. Food was tasty, fresh, affordable, and the place was clean. Very friendly wait-staff, even when the restaurant was busy. Cool historic & present day photos as part of the restaurant decorum.... More

We were pleasantly surprised by the food at Sage Creek Grille. Our group tried the pasta, the walleye and the salmon BLT. All portions were generous. We especially enjoyed the pasta and the salmon BLT, and the side salads were very good. A down side was that they had some trouble with their wine delivery that day, and so they... More

We stayed in Custer for 5 days and this WAS the Best dinner we had hands down!! Our waitress was fabulous and the food was even better! We could have easily split our food and still been full the portions were so generous.( For $15.99) We had the Salmon BLT's and even our 11 yr old thought it was tasty.... More

They have great special features for dinner. We decided for a buffalo burger and side salad plus my wife had the field green salad with shrimp. The conconnon red wine is very good.

We had an acceptable dinner here. I had the barbecue pork sandwich and my wife had the bison burger. They were works of art. Large and tasty. We would go back. Much better food and service than we had at Cattlemen's in Custer the night before. Prices are not bad as well. They sat us on the very high stools,... More
