A very nice restaurant in Custer! Sage Creek Grille had classic romantic tunes playing during the meal. Our portions were of nice size, tasty, and very pleasing to the eye. Our slice of carrot cake was delicious. And the crustless, decadent choc torte sounded wonderful. (I still want to taste one). The menu is varied - sandwiches, soups, salads with... More

Although I love good down home restaurants, Sage Creek Grille is a rare treat. The menu items are creative and delicious. They have a noodle dish with peanut sauce to die for. My husband had a cooked-to-perfection steak in a reduced wine sauce, and I had a jerk pork dish that had a lovely spice that exploded with flavor in... More

Small pleasant restaurant, creative menu. But unfortunately the dishes are too complicated, too many ingredients piled up on our plates making. All components are well prepared and cooked but when mixed together it becomes confusing. Simpler is some time better. Unfortunately our waiter had a very unpleasant fresh wound on the on the back of his hand, it was not even... More

Second time eating here was as good as the first. Accommodating waitress moved tables around to seat all 8 of us. Service was fast and efficient; wine list was quite acceptable; food interesting and well cooked. All round made for a pleasant evening. Can recommend the pulled pork with mango over risotto.

We make a point of eating here every year when visiting Custer. My husband always has the buffalo burger at least once and it's always perfect. I like the salads and will try something different once in a while. I recognize the staff from year to year and they are so nice and helpful. If we lived in the area... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by the rangers at Wind Cave National Park after we asked them about a place to get a good steak. It was busy, but the service was excellent. We both enjoyed the top sirloin with red wine reduction sauce. It was scrumptious! I have food allergies, and the kitchen did their best to accommodate... More

Had lunch here during the week and were able to get seated immediately. Modern menu, nice wine list. Food and service were very good but not extraordinary.

My wife and I are vegetarians and find it difficult to go beyond mac n' cheese and pizza in smaller towns, so we were very pleasantly surprised by this sophisticated restaurant. Not only did they have great menu choices, the owner took good care of us both nights we were there!

This was our first stop to Custer SD and we saw Sage Creek Grille. It is a cozy little restaurant, we sat in the back. Another reviewer wrote about the artichoke appetizer dip, and we agree, it actually had artichoke in it and it was delicious! I wonder if the other reviewer was sitting near us. LoL. We split a...
