The choices on the menu at the Sage Creek Grille were creative and tasty. Nice atmosphere and great desserts! Feels pretty urban for this Western tourist town, which comes as a welcomed surprise. Really one of the only true dinner options in town. Others are in the Park.

We happened on this restaurant while we were staying in Custer for two nights, and other spots nearby were closed for lunch, then liked it so much we went back for dinner, and then again the next day for dessert. The menu is really interesting, with delicious variations on standard fare...e.g. Cole Slaw with lime and cilantro. They feature sausages... More

I like salmon but am always afraid to order it since it so often overcooked. I asked the waiter to please make sure this didn't happen. He assured me it would be no problem. I am happy to report that my salmon was delicious. The service wasn't perfect, had to wave down the wait staff since they did not check... More

We wish we would have found this place first! Owner and chef are definitely on the money for travelers who are accustomed to quality food! Pricey for family of 6-$140, but worth every dollar. (That included a bottle of wine)... OMG, The queso is AMAZING!! Pasta, steak, burgers, salads-yummmmy! Very accommodating service! They stayed open late for us. Think the... More

What a wonderful little spot. The service was very good and the food was awesome! Just when I thought it could not get better they brought deserts! Soooooooo Good! Really you have to give this place a try. Also take note of the unique pictures on the walls. You will not be disappointed!

We really enjoyed the food we had. I had a shrimp caesar salad and my husband had a salad with goat cheese, mandarin oranges, chicken, and poppyseed dressing. Both were really good. It was a bit pricey at over $30 for two salads and we had water to drink. Couldn't eat their regularly. Also, the girl that seated us was... More

Wife and I ate here twice this week. A breathe of fresh air amongst all the burger and steak joints in this tourist town. She initially had the Jamacian jerk chicken stew; second time the braised beef chili quesadilla. Both dishes appropriately well seasoned, very tasty and generous portions. Over the two evenings I had the hummus, veggie, pita bread... More

Finished a full day at the Black Hills Park and drove through Custer to get home. Stopped here for dinner and were very impressed with the menu selections and particularly the food. Mushroom soup was wonderful and the rest of the meal was just as good. Mid range but worth the good meal.

Popped in here for Sunday lunch. Can't speak to the whole menu, but what we ate was delicious. I had the biscuits and sausage gravy topped with a friend egg and roasted potatoes. My wife had the fried egg sandwich and potatoes. Every couple of bites had us commenting on how good the food was.

Large portions and good food highlight this restaurant. Service was excellent and it was well worth the stop.
