Definitely not a typical burger and fries place, although they do serve them! The buffalo stroganoff was something new this time, and it was very good. I don't think you'd go wrong with any of their menu items. We've been here several times on different visits and enjoyed it every time. I really recommend this place!

My husband and I had dinner here with our 5 year old daughter on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was good, it's a cute little grille with bar, on the casual side. The service was fair, our waitress could've been more attentive and friendly. I opted for a Caesar salad, my husband had the walleye, and our daughter had chicken... More

On our Grand Tour around Mount Rushmore, we stopped in Custer, SD for lunch - picking an interesting-looking small café named Sage Creek Grille. Great choice! Not expensive and worth the price. Quick, courteous service. I have to say that their BLT with blue cheese spread is, by far, the BEST BLT I've ever had - anywhere! Unique menu.

If you are looking for something besides beef this is the place. We had a Humus appetizer, salmon and chili which were outstanding

We got into town late, they close at 9, we walked in at 8:55. They seated 4 adults and a very tired 4 year old. We were never made to feel hurried and were encouraged to have another drink and dessert even though we were the only diners left and they were beyond closed. The food was great. Wonderful place,... If you are looking for a steak place, try a different place. The only steak is a top sirloin and is only average. The salads were good, and the Yukon gold potato's were the best park of the steak dinner. My wife had the Buffalo Stroganoff and she really liked her dish.

A very nice restaurant in Custer! Sage Creek Grille had classic romantic tunes playing during the meal. Our portions were of nice size, tasty, and very pleasing to the eye. Our slice of carrot cake was delicious. And the crustless, decadent choc torte sounded wonderful. (I still want to taste one). The menu is varied - sandwiches, soups, salads with... More

Although I love good down home restaurants, Sage Creek Grille is a rare treat. The menu items are creative and delicious. They have a noodle dish with peanut sauce to die for. My husband had a cooked-to-perfection steak in a reduced wine sauce, and I had a jerk pork dish that had a lovely spice that exploded with flavor in... More

Small pleasant restaurant, creative menu. But unfortunately the dishes are too complicated, too many ingredients piled up on our plates making. All components are well prepared and cooked but when mixed together it becomes confusing. Simpler is some time better. Unfortunately our waiter had a very unpleasant fresh wound on the on the back of his hand, it was not even... More

Second time eating here was as good as the first. Accommodating waitress moved tables around to seat all 8 of us. Service was fast and efficient; wine list was quite acceptable; food interesting and well cooked. All round made for a pleasant evening. Can recommend the pulled pork with mango over risotto.
