We found the Joint on Trip Advisor and couldn't wait to try it out! I love BBQ. We are not familiar with the area so decided to take a cab. Once we got in the cab we started to move away from the main area and into a neighborhood outside the French Quarter... DONT be alarmed by the looks, the... More

We had dinner during August 2014. We had brisket, ribs, pulled pork, chicken and sausages! Very very very good! A great dinner in a great place! Sides (cole slaw and mashed potatoes) good as well!

I love NO because its so different! We ordered our food and it was delivered to our table in a few minutes by a young and typical NO type of girl. My wife says "Do you think she looked in the mirror and said "Now that's a good work outfit" and then headed out the door?". She was wearing a... More

Can't wait to go again. The food is consistently delicious and the service great. We love pulled pork and theirs is some of the best we have ever enjoyed.

The Joint was recommended to us by some locals. Having travelled down from Vicksburg, through Natchez I was a little over ribs but having only just arrived and a little clueless we decided to give it a go. I'm glad we did. Trying to be as healthy as it is possible in a BBQ restaurant, my wife and I had... More

After 50 plus years, I had simply given up ordering brisket East of the Sabine River. Texas has brisket, the rest of the US can argue about pork and ribs. I am now working 2 blocks away from The Joint and can say I like what they do as much as the Stubbs/Franklins/Salt Licks that I craved in Texas. The... More

We asked the locals about a great place to eat. We normally stay away from the tourist traps. We were a little concerned on the way, the streets were getting narrower and narrower. When we arrived we pre-judged the appearance of the building. This is something one should never do, in New Orleans. The food was mouthwatering. I felt that... More

Had the ribs and mac and cheese and wife had pulled pork. Very good meal and very meaty ribs. Just a little hole but very good. Would go back.

I never thought of New Orleans in the context of barbecue, but The Joint puts it on the map! Had the three meat combo with ribs, brisket and Cajun sausage...sides of coleslaw and mac-n-cheese. Also tried a little of husband's pulled pork. All were truly excellent and went down well with an Abita seasonal brew. Busy, fun, friendly, quirky, locals,... More

The location seems a bit sketchy, which is why I would visit in the daytime. The food is pretty tasty. You have to order at a bar, and then seat yourself. It is not like a typical restaurant with servers. The sweet tea and the ribs were great. The ribs were juicy and tender. Would def recommend.
