A bit out of the standard route, but absolutely worth a visit. It can be a bit crowded that will make it difficult to find a nice place to sit. The food is absolutely without a doubt great, flavor, the structure of the meat, everything is just great. Nice staff, but sometimes it looked like they have some difficulties with... More

I had heard great things about The Joint...ordered three meat plate (sausage, ribs, brisket) --- ribs were fatty and full of bone shards and brisket was dry and flavorless. Looks like a cool spot and the wait staff was pleasant, just not my food ---- maybe an off day.

I consider myself a barbecue connoisseur and this place is amazing! I got the ribs w/ mac & cheese and my husband got the ribs with the beans. Everything was super tasty and The ribs were smoked and spiced to perfection! We tried all three BBQ sauces that they had on the table- all three were really good but too... More

Just finished eating at The Joint. My sister & I split the 2 meat combo with 2 sides. Ribs were delicious and the pulled pork was so good that it didn't even need any sauce! We each got an iced tea and split a piece of pie for dessert. Total bill was under $23.00! Sat at the bar and the... More

The atmosphere has a touch of the Fifties' simplicity with the food being the main attraction. The menu features typical BBQ fare: ribs, pulled pork and brisket. Plates and sandwiches, with four sides, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and mac 'n cheese. We had brisket sandwiches, loaded with meat, along with a vinegar and oil based slaw of green... More

The Joint is, as the name indicates, a no frills joint in the Bywater neighborhood of New Orleans with outstanding barbecue. The ribs and the brisket are to die for, and tasty sides too, especially the beans and the potato salad -- unfortunately they did not have cornbread on the day I visited. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. My only... More

My husband and I came here based on the great reviews. It was indeed delicious! We were visiting New Orleans for the first time and this restaurant is probably one of the top 3 restaurants we tried during our entire trip. We wish this restaurant existed in our hometown. We plan to come back here when we visit New Orleans... More
