We visited a couple months back and I haven't sopped talking about the place. It was the best breakfast I've ever had in my entire life. I know this seems like an exaggeration but it's really not. I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was amazing. I love hot sauce to spice up or add flavors to everything and... More

A friend and I discovered this location during a walk on Magazine Street. There was a 30 minute wait but the food didn't disappoint. I had the crab/avocado omelet and it was tasty. Wait staff isn't the friendliest, one older Asian lady in particular seemed to be a foul mood and was a little bit of a downer.

One day I was craving french toast and decided to try this cafe. I had the best experience at the uptown location. The staff was friendly and provided great service. I wish I could say the same about the lower garden district. When I walked in nobody greeted me. Matter of face the girl who was behind the counter was... More

My good friend, a resident of New Orleans, picked me up and took me to Surrey's for breakfast. What I thought was a hole in the wall turned about to be fantastic. Bananas Foster French Toast!. What more can you say...nothing. I mean to die for. Fresh french bread cut on the diagonal, filled with cream cheese and banana mixture... More

This place is small, but it packs a mighty big punch. I had the crab meat omelette and it was yummy!

Everything we ordered was fresh and tasty! Most of us ordered their famous Bananas Foster French Toast. It was perfectly crispy on the outside and flavorful inside. The omelets were fluffy and full of add-ins. Wait lines are long on the weekend but we walked right in and ordered on Friday morning.

Yes, I have to agree about the cockroaches but at least they were dead, only a few in the bathroom and not in the food. You have to expect that in New Orleans, especially Magazine St. that roaches and termites will always be here! My husband loved his Costa Rican breakfast dish and me with my fresh fruits, large portions... More
