Colorful local art on the wall, excellent service and fabulous fresh squeezed juices. The wait went pretty fast and was worth it. Tight seating but still felt comfortable. Everyone's b-fast at the table was great. Good cup of coffee, too.

We had a 20 minute wait at Surrey's and it was definitely worth it. We ordered their famous banana pancake which is literally the size of a dinner plate and as light and fluffy as a dollar size. Great coffee (and I'm Jamaican) and a really inventive menu. I had the Costa Rican breakfast which came with rice and sausages... More

Stopped in on Monday afternoon for breakfast/lunch. I saw migas on the menu and jumped at the opportunity to have it - and it was great. Hubby had the BLT and it was a generous sandwich (although the bread was not toasted, but there was no complaint). Service was good. Lot's of folks eating here for good reason - the... More

We went there for brunch and didn't reserve table and got the message approx 30 minutes of waiting which when you are hungry really feels like 60 minutes but it was really worth it..... We ate shrimp and grit which was awesome and also banana pancake with peanut butter. Fantastic and genuine food and we rolled out for a 2... More

My family and I went to Surrey's last weekend for brunch. We were a party of 12 and had to wait about an hour to be seated. (No long tables here; we had to split up into three groups of four) Our server was extremely pleasant, the food arrived quickly and tasted divine. I particularly enjoyed the barbecue shrimp and... Very popular restaurant on a weekday mid-morning attesting to the excellent and creative food. The dining area is in an old house in a residential area making the tourist feel like they are right at home.

Definetely the best brunch I've ever had!! The menu has enough options for everybody. Also serves lunch. The wait was not bad and I went on a Tuesday morning so I don't want to know what the line is like on the weekends but then again all good restaurants in New Orleans are worth the wait!!

This little place was recommended by a French Quarter shop owner and it was absolutely delicious. We also went specifically for the Bananas Foster French Toast and were not disappointed. One of the neighboring tables ordered a fruit plate which was the most beautiful fruit plate I've ever seen. The menu includes a wide variety of items so everyone should... More

This was a great ending to our trip in NOLA! It was one of the best places we ate the whole trip. We ordered some organic juice to share which was very good. My husband got the shrimp and grits which were amazing! I had the banana's foster french toast which was AWESOME. I try not to eat sugary stuff... More
