Eat with locals as they chill with juice and hearty consumables.

Wednesday, 11 a.m., Spring Break 2015. Short 10 minute wait for a table for 4, in the front by the large window. Local artisan works leap at you from every wall and space. Very bohemian vibe. Atmosphere is loose and easy. The servers are the only people rushing in this place. Expect to wait a... read more

I'm not a big juice fan but Sureey's has some really amazing fresh orange juice. I had to have a tall refreshing glass every morning. I can't wait to come back next year.

Upon the recommendation of a friend, we walked from the CBD up into the Lower Garden District on a recent visit to the Big Easy for a late breakfast at Surrey's. What a treat! Friendly, casual staff and great New Orleans feel in the re-purposed small old garden district home was full of the work from local artists. There were... More

Great breakfast food! The french toast was like eating dessert and the shrimp creole omelet was great. The fact that I combined shrimp creole, omelet and great in one sentence should speak volumes because I'd never combine shrimp creole and eggs. Great service, great food, fun atmosphere. We ate here twice during our trip because it was so good. A... More

Adorable restaurant with exceptional food. I recommend the shrimp and grits. It will not disappoint! The service was outstanding and the food speaks for itself. The artwork on the walls is for sale and adds a homey feel to the environment. Located on Magazine street, there is plenty to keep you occupied while waiting for a table. There is not... More

nearly always busy, and for very good reason; I've eaten there 3-4 times over 2 trips and will eat there again, I hope!

The upper end of Magazine Street is up and coming, but Surrey's has been a local gem there for years. It is a funky, fun, and flavorful. It is an inexpensive place to have a quick bite. The service was attentive and friendly. In a city known for its seafood, their Crab Melt was simple and delicious. In a town... More

This place was great...Amazing food, and cool art to buy hanging on the walls...Seemed college run but only at the door...Servers were quick amidst the crowd and conversation...Menu was good, but the FRESH SQUEEZED Organic juices were perfect for a after party morning pick me up..Wife loved the place as well... P.S. The French Toast might some mojo in it

Had not been to Surrey's in awhile, so we invited some out-of-town guests to join us for lunch there on Friday. If you you, the real highlights are the crab meat omelette, which is positively sinful, and the shrimp & grits, which I contend are among the best in the city. It's an exceedingly informal place with cheap eats, and... More
