Taking the st Charles street car from Canal Street this cute place is only a two or three block walk from the stop. Walking the blocks you can see up close the beauty of the Garden District. We were a party of 4 so we opted not to wait for a table but to eat immediately at the juice bar.... More

This place reminds you of home while being eclectic. Cash only so bring it if not use their ATM. No parking but street parking. The juice options are so yummy help with a hangover! Many options for breakfast. Oh no alcohol but was okay for us needed to hydrate.

This place is off the beaten path and I shouldn't tell anyone this but THIS PLACE HAS THE BEST FOOD IN THE CITY. The juice is the freshest and the food is the best-est-est.... It was sooooo good. I ate bananas in their french bread french toast, AND I DESPISE bananas. I will eat here at least one time EVERY... More

We went there on the recommendation of a friend. I ordered the shrimp and grits. The grits were smooth and creamy and the shrimp were prepared in a spicy sauce that complemented the grits. Another guest had the yogurt with homemade granola and fruit. The homemade granola was delicious! The fruit was fresh since I saw someone slicing the apple... More

My husband wanted shrimp and grits, and few locals said Surrey's had the best. We woke up early to beat the breakfast crew - an excellent call. When we left, neighbors were lined up outside to get in. The shrimp and grits were great! (Side note: I don't like grits.) I opted for the boudin, biscuits, and gravy - insanely... More

I don't usually eat grits in a restaurant but these were worth coming back for. We visited twice in one week. the biscuits are awesome but the bacon...not so much. Special assortment of freshly squeezed juices were very good. The banana pancake tasted like a dessert...too much for one person :-)

This restaurant's food was so good, that we went back again for breakfast. They have everything for everyone, for people eating healthy or not. The food is fresh and locally grown and raised, according to the menu. It's a small place, so it can be crowded at times, but well worth the wait. All the servers were nice. The atmosphere... More
