We were told there would be a wait and we just slipped in without one. There on a Wednesday at noon, so maybe not so crowded. Had a great breakfast, which they serve any time they are open, and excellent biscuits and cheese grits. Very nice local atmosphere.

Decided to have breakfast here after seeing this place highlighted on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. While Guy highlighted the homemade bagels... skip-em. Had the onion bagel. Anyone who has ever had a New York or NY Style bagel will think they are eating a round piece of bread. Ordered the Crab/Avocado omelette. Spectacular! Ordered the Shrimp Remoulade omelette. Even better.... More

Delicious, local fresh food! I loved how they had fresh juices and many healthy options. The place is laid back with a fun artsy vibe. Highly recommended.

This place is a mom and pop shop that has a variety of specialities to choose from. It's small and intimate and the staff is friendly and accommodating. I was supposed to get biscuits and gravy but I sat in the best spot where the food came out and changed my order to the Montana plate. I heard about this... More

This place is seriously awesome, I went here three times over my 6 day stay...that's saying something. I got the migas every time. My boyfriend tried different dishes each time but he raved about the corned beef hash the most. Do NOT get their toast as a side, it's cheap bread, their biscuits on the other hand are seriously good.... More

We were there during Christmas week and let me tell you, We will be back. It's a really tiny place so there is always wait, but it's worth it. The staff was nice, attentive, and the food is great. You gotta try the French Toast, it's EPIC... * No Credit card accepted, cash only, but there is an ATM there.

If you are in New Orleans and tired of Bourbon Street, you have to get breakfast at Surrey's! Great creole, Cajun, and traditional breakfast dishes. Great alternative for a slightly more exciting (and tastier) version of classic breakfast dishes. Most dishes are between $6-$12 and a large juice is worth every dollar of the $6.25 they ask for. This isn't... More

Sure, you may have to wait a few minutes to sit down, but if you want a genuine dining experience, Surrey's always makes us smile. The Cuban sandwich was as good as anywhere. Where else can you get freshly squeezed Satsuma juice!!

Surreys is a small local restaurant that I go to every time I am in Nola. Food is always fresh and hot. Love their creamy grits. Good coffee. Good eggs. A pleasure to sit outside too Overall a great little place

The fresh squeezed juice was incredible--both orange and apple were awesome. The place was unqiue, artsy and cool. Great spot to go out of the busy areas. Not a huge place--go early if you have a group.
