I don't usually eat grits in a restaurant but these were worth coming back for. We visited twice in one week. the biscuits are awesome but the bacon...not so much. Special assortment of freshly squeezed juices were very good. The banana pancake tasted like a dessert...too much for one person :-)

This restaurant's food was so good, that we went back again for breakfast. They have everything for everyone, for people eating healthy or not. The food is fresh and locally grown and raised, according to the menu. It's a small place, so it can be crowded at times, but well worth the wait. All the servers were nice. The atmosphere... More

This morning my adult kids and I hiked over from our Warehouse district hotel to Surreys Juice Bar on Magazine St We loved the cozy setting they had and immediately were impressed by the plates of breakfast coming past our table I ordered the Costa Rican breakfast w Chorizio and Avocado and salsa over rice. My son had the MOST... More

After a bout of food poisoning over a weekend trip to visit a friend, I was FINALLY up to eating a full meal and Surrey's was the right choice! My friend and I got their around 9:30 and sat at the bar. The fans were going, it was humid outside, and gospel was playing on the radio...a quintessential New Orleans... More

We visited a couple months back and I haven't sopped talking about the place. It was the best breakfast I've ever had in my entire life. I know this seems like an exaggeration but it's really not. I had the Shrimp and Grits and it was amazing. I love hot sauce to spice up or add flavors to everything and... More

A friend and I discovered this location during a walk on Magazine Street. There was a 30 minute wait but the food didn't disappoint. I had the crab/avocado omelet and it was tasty. Wait staff isn't the friendliest, one older Asian lady in particular seemed to be a foul mood and was a little bit of a downer.

One day I was craving french toast and decided to try this cafe. I had the best experience at the uptown location. The staff was friendly and provided great service. I wish I could say the same about the lower garden district. When I walked in nobody greeted me. Matter of face the girl who was behind the counter was... More

My good friend, a resident of New Orleans, picked me up and took me to Surrey's for breakfast. What I thought was a hole in the wall turned about to be fantastic. Bananas Foster French Toast!. What more can you say...nothing. I mean to die for. Fresh french bread cut on the diagonal, filled with cream cheese and banana mixture... More
