Best Gelato

A stop at Angelo Brocato is a step into paradise. Their cannolis are made on the spot and nothing could be better. The gelato flavors are to die for. And the big espresso machine makes the best cappuccino you've ever tasted. The fig cookies to go are awesome and everyone should stop here.

Very good canolis and gelato. Staff was very accommodating and let us try many different flavors of the gelato. Highly recommend if you need a place for a quick treat or to get out of the humidity.

The made to order Cannoli are delicious. Eat them while they are fresh and at their best. The Gelato is also superb and a great treat with the New Orleans Heat. Just a block from the Canal and Carrolton streetcar stop for both the cemetaries and city park lines. I highly recommend hopping off for a quick pick me up

If you haven't had their Italian ice cream you are missing out! Long lines occasionally a bummer - and do consider having a light dinner before going to Brocato's to make sure you have enough room :-)

Angelo Brocato is a New Orleans "locals" favorite destination for everything yummy but especially their hand made - home made ice creams. Just fantastic!! Pistachio is my favorite. A fun, old time feel to this location in MidCity, easily accessed by the Streetcar from the French Quarter.

Old school ice cream parlor from a wonderful old New Orleans Italian-American family. Hand dipped gelato and ice cream and Italian cookies are top notch. Not to be missed for dessert and/or coffee in NOLA.

Take the Canal street car & go for dessert/coffee in this neighborhood Italian shop. Gelato, specialty drinks & coffees, a small bakery counter & a few prepackaged goodies to take along are about all they serve. Gelato is delish!

Best cannoli I've eaten. Unfortunately, some of the pastries we ordered seemed to be semi-frozen. Staff was friendly.

Their spumoni competes for being the best anywhere! And if you're fond of other Italian (Sicilian) desserts or gelato, Angelo's will not disappoint! It's one of those old time, classic New Orleans establishments that survived Katrina (thank God!). These are the folks who serve spumoni and cannoli at the Jazz Fest every year.

Great gelato but extremely rude employees. This is an old historical place and it is ashamed to be run down by nasty employees who don't seem to care
