Apparently going to Brocato's for an Ice Cream after eating at Veneiza's Italian Restaurant is a local custom. A group of us went there after a delicious dinner, and the gelato and king cake was a great finish to a delicious meal. Italian ice cream after eating an Italian meal was a great decision. There are several tables to sit... More

New Orleans has every right to brag about it's delicious food. This city has a mixture of cultures that is a party for the senses, and this "ice cream" shop is just one of the wonderful places this city has to offer. Besides it's wonderful home made gelato, it has a variety of delicious pastries, cakes and coffees. If you... More

Sorry for the late review (visited in 2013) the ice-cream was every bit as delicious as advertised. Got to taste a few and it was really difficult to decide which one to order. Loved the family ambience.

Step inside this wonderful shop with delectable pastries and fine flavors of different ice creams and gelatos to savor the taste of Italy. Try the ricotta tart, the Sicilian pistachio gelato, not to mention the coffees. Service is prompt, efficient and courteous.

I have been here numerous times and it has always been good. Very good. The prices are fair and the service is super. Of course there may be a little wait during prime times but it is well worth it. The cannoli is very special and may be the most popular. The spumoni is always one of my favorites.

We had a moment of panic when there were no cannolis in the display case full of every imaginable sweet, but found out they fill the cannolis when ordered. Everything looked so good it was hard to choose just a couple of things to try, but you have to have a cannoli. The shell was perfectly crisp and the filling... More

Brocato's has been a NOLA treasure for over a century and still produces the best cannoli Siciliana anywhere, i don't care what city you're in. The gelato, spumoni, biscotti, and various pastries will make your head explode. When I'm in town, it's a stop every single night. You may have to stand in line but you'll be glad you did.... More

My wife and I stopped in for some Gelato after dinner and to our surprise there were many more goodies than just the gelato. There were many great pastry and cookie options to choose from so we asked which was most popular and we were told the almond macaroons... they lived up to the hype, they were great. For anyone... This place is an ice cream/gelato shop and bakery and is very near to the Canal St/Carollton streetcar stop in the area of New Orleans called Mid-City. We were able to walk over from our bed & breakfast. We had heard about this establishment from 'new' friends we met in New Orleans, and we were not disappointed We made our... More
