One of the oldest in America. Gelato was good and traditional. I think the pastries are resting on their laurels, not bad but I've had a lot better. There was a line out the door. Maybe it's just that New Orleans is so humid that pastries that should have snap and crackle were a little soggy. It's kinda like stepping... More

We tried this place out our first night in New Orleans, and loved it so much that we went back a second time! It has a sweet, charming, old fashioned ice cream parlor feel, and also has delicious desserts and coffee too. Both nights we went, the place was packed, but the line moved quickly. The ice cream was delicious.... More

When you step through the door, you immediately for get the strip mall that surrounds Brocato's and are transported to Palermo. From the tile floor to the case of pastry and cookies, your surrounded by Sicilian treats. Very good cannolis, fig cookies and little S shaped sesame cookies that I remember so well from childhood.

This place has an old time classic Itilian bakery/ sweets shop ( At least what you'd think one would be like). Everything freshly prepared and made right there in the shop.and you can taste the passion put behind each item. THE GELATO IS ADDICTIVE!!!!

I grew up in New Orleans and remembered this special treat as a child. I've lived and travelled to many places and tried cannoli in many of these places. Brocato's cannoli is the best I have ever had. If you want real cannoli and are in New Orleans then you will not be disappointed. The place is busy but the... More

We drive 60 minutes for a special occasion treat. We enjoy the gelato, eclairs, Prussian, Napoleon, and cannoli. We always bring a box home for the next day.

This was a perfect summer treat for the kiddos. The selection of gelato and Italian ice made the whole group happy. The cannoli's were a must try for sure, the chocolate covered was my favorite!

This is a small ice cream shop with a good selection of made in the shop ice creams. We had a scoop of real pistachio and a scoop of almond "pistachio". The server was quick to point out the difference between the two to ensure we were getting what we expected. We thought this was charming as my husband dislikes... More

EXCELLENT & AUTHENTIC ITALIAN BAKERY & GELATO CAFE ! Having been raised in a Boston Italian family, Brocato's was my ONLY refuge for AUTHENTIC / HOMEMADE Italian sweets ! And I lived directly across the street from Brocato's !!! ;) It's a very small store/ cafe, tiny in fact. Be patient and polite. You WILL be glad you waited ,)
