It's Wow Good!!

Stopped in for lunch and it was my first visit to Chartres House. Good Bloody Mary's started it off. We had fried green tomatoes, cup of gumbo and boudain. All were delicious. The meal was fried oysters and they were excellent.

Arrived Memorial Day eve. 6 p waited 20 minutes some confusion in who was hosting. Seated on balcony narrow but good people watching I had crawfish bread for appetizer then boudin. Wife had taste of plate with 3 items. My appetizer was good and worth money , boudin just average and not fried as expected wife loved hers a little... More

We were in search of sustenance after eating only a beignet each and then walking around the French Quarter. My son, ever the picky eater, only wanted a burger, while my husband and I preferred something more "New Orleans." We were starving and desperate when we stumbled into Chartres House. The fresh air seating was fine and the service was... More

We rented the upstairs of the Chartres House for our rehearsal dinner and were very pleased. The food was great and the staff was very good about keeping the buffet filled with food and the drinks flowing. It was nice but relaxing atmosphere that everyone enjoyed!

While walking around the French Quarter one evening we came upon the Chartres House and noticed their menu for breakfast. We decided that it had definitely piqued our curiosity so the next morning found us in line, then seated ordering the Biscuits & Gravy breakfasts. I had Patty Sausage and my hubby had Crispy Bacon with Eggs and Potatoes. It... More

Very good cajun creole seafood menu. Everything we had was delicious from drinks through dessert. Our server Michelle was delightful & looked like she enjoyed her work- refreshing attitude! We'll go back for sure.

We came here twice, once for drinks and once for dinner and sat on the balcony. The waiting staff were really good and I wanted to try something very "New Orleans" but as I am allergic to citrus and tomato it can be difficult. But I managed it. The prices are reasonable eg 3 small plates of a taste of... More

Bartenders have a talent for mixing great drinks. Right on the corner in the quarter. Good people watching and lots to choose from.
