In the heart of the French Quarter

I had time for just one more drink before I had to head to the airport and this is the only place I went to in five days that didn't have a recommendation of some kind attached. I'm glad I went though. They had some interesting drink selections and some food specials as well.

I went to New Orleans to celebrate my 30th birthday. There were a group of 13 of us. I know when there are large groups, things take longer to come out. With that said, we got there for our 6:30 reservation. We ordered our drinks and a couple of appetizers, 3 to be exact and it seemed to take forever.... More

Wandered in here for a beer and a little break from tourist-ing. When I saw the plates being brought out into the dining room, I had to order an early dinner. For a place that sort of looks more like a college bar, the food was absolutely fantastic!

We enjoyed our dinner here. Had the fried alligator appetizer and it was very good. I had a muffalata sandwich and my husband had blackened fish. Very New Orleans cuisine. Casual atmosphere, good food, helpful waitstaff.

This typical New Orleans restaurant is right off Chartres street near Jackson Square. It is a busy place that serves good food. It is best to eat at the off hours (like 2-4:00) for best service. The food was typical for what you would expect and want in a New Orleans restaurant. It was open-aide, but under cover. Handicap accessible.

My wife and I discovered this place a couple of years ago for lunch. The New Orleans cuisine they put out here is spot on along with very good service and atmosphere. We like doing lunch here and enjoy the open air dining to people watch while enjoying one of their great local craft beers.

We enjoyed this restaurant. It was no fuss food, in a convenient location and quite tasty. The price point was also great and i will recommend it for a good, simple, first meal in New Orleans.

I checked out over three dozen online menus for New Orleans restaurants before choosing to have dinner at Chatres House. It fit the criteria: husband doesn't like paying more than $25 for a meal, we have two who don't eat a lot of seafood, myself who is allergic to shrimp. The menu has plenty of local variety as well as... More

We walked in right at 11 when they opened. Waiter was very quick and mindful with our order. 10 minutes after taking our order he said it would be right up. 5 minutes later he told us the fryer was down and we had to re-order everything. Once the replacement food came out it was ok but not wonderful. We were... More

we were recommended this place by our tour guide to have a quick bite to eat before our next tour and it didn't disappoint. Friendly staff, New Orleans inspired small plates of food, which were delicious and delivered promptly so we could eat and be on our way.
