The sampler of gumbo, red beans and rice, etouffee, and jambalaya is perfect!

We visited this restaurant upon the recommendation of a local shop owner. We had Bloody Mary's that were absolutely tasty along with cold beer (a wonderful thing in NO in August) and enjoyed the BBQ Shrimp for lunch, delicious. Highly recommend them!

It was insanely hot that day with a heat advisory and we walked into Chartres House dripping with sweat. We were greeted immediately by a gentleman who asked us where we'd like to sit and I said, half in jest, "Where ever is coolest." He asked us to wait one second and then quickly came back and guided us to... More

We went to Charters House to eat on an exceptionally hot day, 100 plus. After walking around the French Quarter for a long time, we were not feeling so well from the heat and the front of the restaurant had the doors open so we asked if we could sit in the coldest part of the restaurant. They were so... More

Came to this place based on the recent reviews. Food was definitely good. I ordered the Taste of New Orleans...which allowed me to explore a little bit of everything. Portions were just right. When it came to the service, it was off. It wasn't too busy on the Tuesday night, and somehow my waitress never brought me the glass of... More

Very good food in a great location. An open air table is your best bet. Drinks and food what you would expect. Service can be a bit slow, but if fast is your goal, you shouldn't be in the Quarter anyway!

Another excellent experience. My wife had the shrimp ceasar salad, and my daughter the grilled chicken salad. My son and I had the roast beef po boy. It's better to eat at restaurants away from Bourbon st. It's quieter, and prices are less. The French quarter is full of excellent restaurants.

On a very hot day in the French Quarter we were looking for a place to rest our feet and cool off. We had read reviews on this place and decided to give it a try. We were seated right away and had a minute to look over the menu. Our server was very attentive and did not rush us.... More

Walked in off the street to delicious cocktails and tasty creole food, served by a fabulous waitress. Nice and cool under the fans. The small serve of cream of crab and corn soup was very tasty and I'd like some more right about now. The craw fish fried platter was big, enough for two or even three people, and it... More
