Deja Vu wouldn't have been my first choice for breakfast, but lo and behold this bar served up a good, reasonably priced, hearty breakfast. Other than the cigarette-smoke scent, I would recommend it. We even considered trying it again for their $6/$7 steak special, but opted for oysters.

We're right across the street at the Dauphine and wanted to go someplace for a quick meal. I read most of the reviews of Déjà Vu with some doubt. Sounded like it was going to be a bit "rustic" but good food, but certainly some folks were turned off. We went and were happy we did. The smoking didn't bother... More

Great food, but its a smoking restaurant. Some days it can be really smoky, on those days we ordered our food to go

Stopped here for breakfast on the way to the cemetary and other than some of the tables smoking, the atmosphere was fun and casual. The menu had a lot of variety, including lots of southern fare! Yum! Our server was most pleasant and helpful with directions. The music was a nice touch, adding a playful vibe. The portions are large... More

We stumbled on Deja Vu by accident just walking around. Good menu. Something for everyone. The Po Boy with everything on it was fantastic. Would definitely recommend it.

Go here... if you want a great bloody mary and cheap breakfast. I thought of it as a a great breakfast dive bar/restaurant. Food is great, eat the Cajun Omelet, but be prepared for the SUPER spicy.. wow... the cook even came out so we could give him kudos! He even recommended some other good restaurants. More important our server,... More

This place is just a block from Bourbon and is open 24 hours. It was a great before-bed meal before heading back to the hotel. Not gourmet food, but very satisfying at 3am.

Was walking around the French Quarter on a Saturday night looking for a place to eat that wasn't loud and packed. This place is a bit out of all the action. Wait staff was pleasant. Food wasn't bad. Seafood gumbo needed more seafood, That alligator bites were good, just wish there were more. This place was walking distance from the... More

It's definitely a bar setting not a family place but great if your looking for a cheap late night eat. We were staying at the hotel across the street and found ourselves here at least once a day the entire stay for snacks. Its in the quarter but without the "Burbon like" atmosphere and crowd kinda quite.

Good food, and prices...people who listen and don't assume. Don't pass this up, people actually give directions and cook food the way you ask for it. Good strong coffee (and drinks).
