We went to cochon and were thoroughly impressed. I had the fried alligator appetizer and sauteed pork cheeks. Both were cooked perfectly had well seasoned. The waiter was informative and attentive. I would highly recommend it! more

Make a reservation and enjoy the unique menu. They had great specials the night we went. The food was wonderful, very innovative, and great flavor. Our waiter was really informative and helpful and everything he recommended was great. more

The service was very good, and that about it. I was not impressed with food or the serving you get for the price. I asked the the waitier about cracklings and he didn't know what I was talking about, anybody that knows anything about cooked hogs should know that, its very good to eat. I had the pork plate and... more

Didn't eat at the main restaurant, but their deli, "The Butcher" which is around the corner was EXCELLENT!!! I wish we had something locally like it. I had the muffaletta. It was fine. There is such a variety though. Some friends had Cubans, which they said were great. If I get back, i will try the grilled pastrami. more

Can only vouch for the gumbo and shrimp chow chow; both were exquisite. Service was average. Atmosphere was a nice, upscale cafe. "Best Cajun food in New Orleans"? Maybe, but i wouldn't wait in long lines more

The five of us had a wonderful meal here by ordering almost all of the appetizers as well as a couple of entrees that we shared. We really enjoyed experiencing pork prepared a number of different ways. We also had rabbit livers and alligator. It was truly a different and tasty experience. I would have given a higher mark for... more

What a unique menu and all the small plates we ordered were wonderful. Most items had a pork or game reference. A little loud, that was only negative. more

What a delight to a native New Orleanean now residing in Texas and her German descendant husband with roots in the Rayne and Roberts Cove area of Louisiana. The courtbouillion and eggplant dressing were simply perfection.... a combination of both my mother's N'Awlins Creole tastes and my Habetz mother-in-law's total obedience to Cajun and German flavorings. The rice pudding as... more
