The best oysters I have ever had

This restaurant was recommended to us by the bellman at our hotel. We ventured over , ordered a dozen fresh and a dozen grilled oysters and fell in love. They were the best oysters I have had in my life. We ventured to another Oyster restaurant later that night (Felix's) and they were good, but... read more

After the remodel project, the prices are too high, the decor is worse and the service slow with no improvement in the food.

Try the fried alligator! You won't regret it! Good food, reasonable prices. Service was friendly and accommodating however not very attentive.

Many Quarter restaurants are really pricy or pretty bad. This is a good choice. I sit at the oyster bar (Rodney is great- he's been there since the 80s).

We stayed at royal sonesta so the fact that desire is connected makes it super convenient! The crab Mac n cheese was very creamy and delicious! We also had the alligator appetizer... Yum!!! And the crab cakes were also amazing! I like the fact that you can order pitchers of beer here and they have a variety to choose from!

The waiter was absolutely awful! I had to ask for everything I wanted, except for the check! He gladly brought that out at the end. The food os ok except for the chicken and waffles. The syrup on top is actually honey and is disgusting. Since I couldn't find my waiter, I flagged down another employee and asked her to... More

On Bourbon across from the Old Absinthe House. Amazing, inexpensive raw oysters. Fried PB&J dessert. So yummy. We had two dozen oysters and hung out for two hours and they were really nice to us.

As a New Orleans regular, you cannot beat the quiet and peaceful haven that sells authentic New Orleans food, and gives a laid back atmosphere to enjoy. The etouffee is always delicious, my daughter opts for blackened fish Caesar, and my son is a huge fan of the chicken fried steak. My recommendation is to go a little after 1:30,... More

I love this place for the service AND the food! They just remodeled too and it looks cleaner but still has that NOLA flair. HOWEVER, I am SO sad that they took my favorite dish off the menu, the reason I eat here every time I visit. It was a crab Benedict cake with tomato sauce. I hope that they... More

I was very impressed with the raw bar items we ordered (oysters and steamed shrimp) as well as our entrees. Cocktails were excellent. Our waitress was friendly and even though the place was packed with a line out the door we did not feel rushed.
