Great place to people watch and grab some good food!

We got one of the three tables with the door openings to Bourbon Street. This made for great people watching! I ordered the Creole Trio and it was good. The gumbo was delicious and the red beans and rice was among the best I've ever had. The jambalaya was very disappointing. It was very mushy and... read more

New Orleans is a culinary mecca (and God knows we LOVE food!) but Desire Oyster Bar is our one-and-only "MUST EAT" destination every time we visit NOLA. The place gets packed and long lines are pretty much the norm, but if you can find a spot up at the oyster bar, belly up and prepare for an amazing experience. Ask... More

Try the roast beef poor boy (sub/hero). Pretend you are a local ask for it dressed! Newly renovated and the food is fantastic.

Super relaxed atmosphere and some of the best oysters I've ever experienced. If you're daring, sit at the bar instead of a table and watch them shuck the oysters right in front of you.

This, hands down is by far one of the best places we visited in NOLA. Marcus Davis made the best HURRICANE I ever tasted and I had the best raw and char-grilled oysters in a very long time. My partner had the broiled shrimp which was made to perfection and we shared the spinach salad- YUM-E!! The staff was super... More

Wife and I stayed in nearby hotel and wanted something close to us. The food was amazing but the real treat was the awesome service from ms joann and Jeremiah, they really make you feel at home and are so easy to talk to. Will recommend this to friends

I went here when we found this as a groupon for a dozen oysters and drinks for two. We were talking about those oysters for days. They were so good we wish we had ordered more! The staff was friendly and attentive. Definitely check this place out!

We had the best time here. The server, known as the "Queen" took very good care of us and made sure we had a table at the windows that looks out on the street. Very friendly staff and the food was very good. Lots going on while we were there for the Jazz Festival and this place topped it off.... More
