Good not great

We had oysters and dinner. the oysters were fine, but the chargrilled we had elsewhere were better. I had a steak for dinner and that was very good.

My wife and I have always enjoyed Desire - one of the few spots on Bourbon worth a damn. Well, the new Desire's food is not as good and is more expensive than the old Desire. I am not sure we will continue to be regulars.

The oysters are delicious no matter how they are prepared and easy to have a great time. It was a favorite meeting spot for our group.

I travel to Nola several times a year for business and always eat at all my favorites: Mr B's,Cochon Butcher,Jacques-Imo's etc. but always laugh that this little Oyster Bar in the Royal Sonesta hotel is about as good. Being part of the hotel it is extremely clean...( I've stumbled in to the kitchen sever times looking for the hotel entrance).... More

If you are an Oyster afficienado and are in NOLA look no further! Just phenomenal! The oysters on the half shell are great, but you HAVE to try the grilled oysters!! Plus at this point there isn't a wait for this place as it is relatively undiscovered... it's right next to Felix's and Acme ... walk by the long lines... More

Had the crab mac & cheese and oysters. I have yet to meet an oyster I did not like in New Orleans - these people know their stuff. We had a mix of raw and charbroiled oysters, all wonderful. But I will say these were probably the best charbroiled oysters I've ever had. Server was very friendly as well.

Nice bar with good staff and great tables. We sat by the window and watched the life on Bourbon Street while we ate. Nice large oysters and good food. If this was in any other town it would be a 5 star, but there are so many good oyster bars in NOLA it is hard to go wrong. You wont... More

We came here for breakfast and left super happy! My husband ordered a crabcake benedict, which consisted of perfectly poached eggs on top of these incredible crabcakes, topped with a spicy creamy sauce. It was nothing short of amazing! I had a crawfish omelet that was tasty but not quite as great as the crabcake benedict. Our server, Helen, was... More

We arrived around 5:30 after stopping on a whim as one of the front window tables was open. Kiki was our waitress, and she was friendly and knowledgeable, being a NOLa native. We had the artichoke dip appetizer which was served with crispy fried farfalla. (yes, the bow-tie pasta) and shaved parmesan. We lingered and had three rounds of drinks... More

We were seated by an open air doorway. The seats were really comfortable, and the ambiance of looking out onto Bourbon Street can't be beat. I could have perched there all evening. Hubby had the roast beef Po Boy sandwich. He raved about it. I ordered the shrimp Po Boy. The biggest issue I had with it was the batter-dipped... More
