The starters didn't show up at all, the food was generally OK but not great, and the service was slow (but friendly)

Our first night in New Orleans - getting hungry ... had to get something, and quick. But so many choices. Decided upon Desire after a check of Tripadvisor. And we were not disappointed at all. We got a pitcher of craft brew, New Orleans Shrimp and the Jambalaya. It was all very good -- excellent really. The service was spot... More

We definitely have our favorite restaurants in New Orleans after a few visits. This one was a new one that we tried our last trip and we were definitely not disappointed. The Desire oysters were fantastic as were the gumbo and BBQ shrimp. The Bloody Mary was pretty good too. It is loud but it's on Bourbon Street so I... More

The best oysters and horseradish around but so loud and full of drunks at 5:00. Nice waitress but fair service. Immediately knew we weren't staying for dinner once we walked in and it was so miserably loud. Love those oysters though

Wonderful location, we stopped out of nostalgia having eaten here several times many years ago. Had the peel and eat shrimp my wife was craving and I had the Creole Gumbo. Shrimp were good, but not great, gumbo was excellent. Their bread is amazing too.

Stopped in for a quick appetizer and sat at the oyster bar. The gentlemen behind the oyster bar was very friendly and quickly shucked our fresh oysters. I'm personally not a big fan of oysters but my husband is and he said those were the best oysters he had ever had. The cocktail sauce was made fresh by the staff... More

I had the fried green tomatoes and gumbo; my husband had the crab cakes and bbq shrimp; my friends had the jambalaya. We all enjoyed everything that we ate. The atmosphere is nice (lights could have been a little lower) and the service was very good. Would definitely go back.

This is place makes killer oysters, good drinks and it's right on Bourbon Street. The service was also very good as well as not being too pricey. I'm glad we tried this place, it was very, very good!
