Desire has a full breakfast menu in the morning. Only went 1 time during my visit but thought it was great. No complaints from any of the 5 in my group. On the expensive side, but food is worth it....

You know a place is good when it is pouring outside yet folks are steadily going in and out. I stopped by for lunch after missing Desire on my last trip and was pleasantly surprised. Lunch was great - had a roast beef po-boy with potato salad. Server Michelle recommended that over the Muffletta and it was a good pick.... More

Worth the wait to get in. Service was impeccable, yummy gumbo, a bit loud. 1920's feel with mosiac tile floors, dark wood accents, exposed bulbs.

Everything was superb and perfect at this restaurant. I believe our waitress her name was Tricia was kind, efficient, as well as punctual. The restaurant was incredibly busy and never once did she brush us off. We ordered a Prosecco (which was delicious), half a dozen oysters (amazing and fresh), gumbo was perfect, as well as I had the green... More

Ate my last meal in New Orleans at our hotel's restaurant Desire. Had the best shrimp alfredo I have ever eaten. Staff was friendly and very helpful with all my questions. Great service.

This place was on my list of must go when I planned my trip to new Orleans. My friend and I shared the sea food platter which consisted of catfish, oysters, crawfish, shrimp, crab cake, and sweet potato fries. Our waitress was very helpful and helped us choose what to get and helped us get the best bang for our... More

We stopped in for lunch and assumed they were open since other people were eating. The busser told us to sit wherever we wanted and we began a 20 minute wait while the rest of the employees ignored us. After 20 minutes, we finally chased someone down and they said they weren't open. I will never be back to this... More

On a recent trip to New Orleans, one of my first stops was at Desire Oyster Bar on Bourbon Street. Though this was my first trip to New Orleans, the relatives with whom I was traveling had been there many times. Desire, I was told, had been a destination for each of their past trips. I went along with their... More
