Une vraie boulangerie! As good as in France

It is about 15mn from downtown but it is worth it! Especially if like my whole family we miss French bread since we moved to the States. What is good: the croissants, the baguettes, the loaves. We were looking for a nice lunch after a busy morning in the garden district. With so many choices we asked a few of the locals where they'd go & happy we took their advice. We felt like we were in Provence from the delicious bread/sandwiches to the wide assortment of french pastries. The staff was so friendly & efficient... More

Visited with friends after recommendation from local resident. The pastries, baked items and coffees are wonderful. The interior is very light with large windows and ample seating. Very nice stop during a busy day!

We stopped in here for lunch and I am a vegetarian. I had the best sandwich I've ever had. The croissant was really good too. The staff is very helpful and very pleasant.

My assistant came to work one day with an almond croissant from La Boulangerie and I fell in love. So one we went to try it out and have been fans ever since. We don't have a favorite as everything we've tried has been good. Try it out and you'll be hooked.

Discovered this little gem of a French bakery 3 years ago. It is the top of list for breakfast before starting our day when in New Orleans. Can be a bit crowded on the weekends, especially but worth the wait. Found my favorite tea to date; Mighty Leaf Organic breakfast tea which I take on my travels now. Wish I... More

The pastries are very good here, and the coffee is fine. A bit on the high end (2.50 plus for a danish, 4.50 for a small loaf of bread), but certainly not cost prohibitive. Can be quite crowded on weekend mornings in particular, as a very popular venue.

When I read some of the reviews I had my doubts but stopping here in the middle of an afternoon to find some of the best tasting croissants I've had in years made me a believer. The staff were friendly. The service prompt. I don't know what this place would be like early on a weekend morning -- I suspect... More

This is a truly great bakery. There was a large variety, even at 1:30PM when we went. (So clearly they refresh their baked good, contrary to other reviews). It was very difficult to choose what to get but I went with the Chocolate Opera Cake with cherries. It was delicious. The coffee was also quite good. Highly recommend!
