My assistant came to work one day with an almond croissant from La Boulangerie and I fell in love. So one we went to try it out and have been fans ever since. We don't have a favorite as everything we've tried has been good. Try it out and you'll be hooked.

Discovered this little gem of a French bakery 3 years ago. It is the top of list for breakfast before starting our day when in New Orleans. Can be a bit crowded on the weekends, especially but worth the wait. Found my favorite tea to date; Mighty Leaf Organic breakfast tea which I take on my travels now. Wish I... More

The pastries are very good here, and the coffee is fine. A bit on the high end (2.50 plus for a danish, 4.50 for a small loaf of bread), but certainly not cost prohibitive. Can be quite crowded on weekend mornings in particular, as a very popular venue.

When I read some of the reviews I had my doubts but stopping here in the middle of an afternoon to find some of the best tasting croissants I've had in years made me a believer. The staff were friendly. The service prompt. I don't know what this place would be like early on a weekend morning -- I suspect... More

This is a truly great bakery. There was a large variety, even at 1:30PM when we went. (So clearly they refresh their baked good, contrary to other reviews). It was very difficult to choose what to get but I went with the Chocolate Opera Cake with cherries. It was delicious. The coffee was also quite good. Highly recommend!

What a great find! We were window-shopping on Magazine Street when we came across La Boulangerie. The pastries were wonderful, and just how I like them: not too sweet. I had the mille-veuille vanille (I am sure I butchered that spelling), but anyway, it was a creme-filled delight. Pleasant atmosphere. It was fun hearing people that were actually speaking French... We walked into this place after a lunch at one of the local bbq places. Wife had spotted it while driving down Magazine Street and wanted to try it out. I am so glad that we tried it. The pastries were excellent, although a little bit on the too sweet side. We had the Napoleon and Tiramisu and bought some... More

This french bakery on Magazune is a must eat place. I had the quiche Lorraine, it was light, fluffy and perfect. The smoke salmon sandwich was tasty and we'll balanced. The pastries were french perfections light, flaky not too sweet.

Went here after looking and reading reviews and was very disappointed. Walked in around 11 am and most of the pastries were already gone. They had 2 wrap sandwiches that looked like they were there from Hurricane Katrina. Not impressed with this establishment at all . Took my wife there for there cream puffs and napoleon , unfortunately they had... More
