To die for

Great breads, croissants and coffee. Had discovered this place two years ago and had to go back. Neighborhood and locals everywhere. Great but not cafe du monde so if you want none of the tourist get out to upper garden district and enjoy.

While visiting New Orleans we bought a loaf of Challah Bread with raisins. It made great toast and fantastic French Toast. We will go back next time to try the beautiful pastries and buy more bread.

Had a first-rate cappuccino and a croque monsieur for a late breakfast. They clearly used good ingredients for the sandwich. My wife and I returned the next day for pastries and cafes au lait. The pastries are beautiful and quite tasty, as good as one would find in Paris. The rustic breads look perfect. A great, quick breakfast or pick-me-up.

My husband and I stopped by for brunch over a long weekend. The food was great, and the staff was friendly and fast. If we had stayed longer, we definitely would have made another stop for the delicious pastries.

I used to be a pastry chef. I don't say this because I'm pretentious or overly picky. I say this because the bread and desserts here are so sub par. I've worked with dozens of French bakers and these guys here couldn't cut it in France so they set up shop here thinking "hey, these hipsters won't know the difference... More

Wonderful tarts and chocolate, almond croissant was delicious. The wait staff were very friendly. Almond croissant at croissant d'or was a little better but La Boulangerie had more selection.

We had our dog with us and ate on the front porch. Real friendly, they brought her some water. I had the BLT for lunch with house smoked bacon......I cannot tell you how wonderful that was. I ate the first half, the second half we just tore apart and ate the bacon!
