Hole in the wall bar & restaurant with absolutely divine food. I always go there when in NOLA. Must have's include: Smoked Duck Quesdilla, their Fried Chicken is the best I've had, served with a side of rabbit jambalaya and simply order a cold Abita and you're in heaven!.

I typically steer away from fried foods, but I love chicken. I am glad a choose their fried chicken. The combination of seasonings was perfect, and it was not greasy. For me, they offer the standard by which any other fried chicken needs to be measured. Service was cordial and efficient.

My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by this place. The food was fantastic! The waitress who was overwhelmed order the wrong thing. HOWEVER, she ended up giving it to my wife for the lower priced meal ordered. The wrong item was the colossal seafood platter. The fried crab claws were fantastic! I ordered the fried chicken and it was... More

We stopped in and had the Coop's tasting plate which consisted of a piece of their fired chicken, a cup of gumbo, red beans and rice, shrimp creole and their sausage and rabbit jambalaya. It's a great deal if you want to sample all of their signature dishes. The shrimp creole was good but a little too heavy on huge... More

The place is a hole in the wall which is fine but its really popular and crowded. The server was subpar. He didn't tell us until after we ordered that the check couldn't be split. After taking our order he barely came back to check on us. Some one ordered a refill and he brought it with the check after... More

We went to Coops after a suggestion from a local resident we sparked up a conversation with. When we arrived the place was busy even for a Thursday evening, but we still managed to get seated right away. I tried the red beans and rice and my boyfriend had the cajun chicken. Neither one of us were disappointed. Overall, we... More

For our first trip, my hubby suggested this place after reading reviews. Even though it looks like a dive, it was some of the best, friendliest service we had in New Orleans. I highly recommend everything that we had; blackened chicken salad, red beans and rice jambalaya, but the best thing I tasted there was the fried chicken. From now... More

I found this place by accident and I was so gald I stopped in! The restaurant is more of a bar and it's very small with limited seating. That being said you may have to wait to be seated. Luckily I was alone so I sat at the bar.The atmosphere is dark and kind of old. Let me just say... More

This place got recommended to us by a local. A bit off the beaten path and always crowded (which is a good sign) but the service is quick, friendly and efficient and the Cajun fried chicken with the rabbit & sausage gumbo was amazing :D we will be back!

We had the chicken and loved it but not so much the filthy bathrooms. Oh well, just don't use the bathroom and you will never know. The air conditioning was also broken
