My hisband and I asked a local where to go to get some good food. She said, "It aint pretty but man they got good food" She was right! Hole in the wall kind of a place. The food was amazing! I had the Cajun Pasta and my husband had the Sampler. We didn't have a bad bite. I normally... read more

The wait was not as long as it used to be. they have removed the pool table and added some large tables and chairs in the back. Food was amazing as always. Best jambalaya in the city and the fried chicken is slap yo mama good. Our wait was a crack up that night. I didn't catch his name but... More

Coop's is a place I end up regularly when I'm in the quarter and hungry. It's hard to find decent places that aren't tourist traps in the Quarter and this definitely fits the bill. It's a little rough but that's part of the New Orleans dive charm. Coop's is a bar that sells food. It's open late and it's a... More

We went to this restaurant because it was on our guide, and not too expensive. A thurday at 8pm, we have waited 35mn outside to be seated (a group of 6 who arrived after us - 2 - has been seated before us, just because the waiter didn't want to split tables). Inside, it was the same: after ordering our... More

Even though NOLA stays open for drinks and parties, restaurants close down early. Coop's is one of the only places you can eat after 9pm on Decatur. We love to stop on our way from Bourbon St headed to Frenchman St for late live music. We stopped in around 10pm. Seating is limited, place is very casual. Bartenders and staff... More

I stopped here for lunch and chatted with a few others at the bar. My duck quesadilla was ok, but not excellent. When it arrived I had to start swatting away gnats which was gross and frightening. I would have enjoyed it more if I would have requested the sauce was on the side. Definitely a sweeter sauce than I... More

This place was recommended to us by a local as a place we definitely needed to go. My husband and I both had sampler platters and bloody Mary's since these were supposed to be the best New Orleans bloody Mary's.The bloody Mary's were overly strong and mix was not good. Needless to say I had one sip of my bloody... More

This is our favorite Nola haunt. Faye makes the best, knock you on the floor, Bloody Marys. The food is also amazing and the staff is great.
