Awesome food!

Food was excellent! The bar is awesome and definitely not for those seeking a more refined experience-- it was perfect for my friend and me!

Went to Coops on a recommendation from a bus tour narrator who raved about the food at a great price. Tho the food was good and the price was good as well there are plenty of better places in NOLA . The restaurant was cramped and run down. Dont go to the bathrooms if you dont have to either you... More

Like some other reviews, we came across this place on Decatur while waling around and decided we liked the menu - and prices! We got there about 5 so did not have a problem getting in right away, but when we left there was a line up. We both ordered the pasta, I had it with Tasso sausage (they make... More

Loved it. Off the beaten path, great gastro-pub. We had a lunch there before driving down to the Delta to go fishing. Was recommended by a local so we went. Glad we did. ID go again anytime. Very non-touristy, fun happy local people, surprisingly good local New Orleans/Cajun food.

I need my Oyster PO-BOY and this is where I go..Coop's Place is a small dive with friendly service and great food.. I have Always ordered the Oysters because they are so good.. A local place but the word is surely out because there is always a line out the door..which moves fast. Eat where ever they put you... bar,... More

If you're looking for great jambalaya, hit Coop's. Be aware you might have to wait in line outside the restaurant to be seated during peak hours as it's not a huge restaurant. The service was mediocre, but the food made up for it. The Rabbit and Sausage Jambalaya as well as the Seafood Gumbo are fantastic.

This is a must stop on your trip to NOLA. This had the best authentic cajun dishes and staff. A great place to just hang with the local and tourists. It's off the beaten path but well worth the visit.

The Owner was rude. You can find a much better and nicer person to spend your money with. I would never spend a dime on this place in the future and would not have done so then if I knew the obnoxious, self serving know it all attitude of the owner not only towards customers but staff as well. The... More

I don't understand why this place is so famous. You must do a long queue to have quiet disgusting food ,rude staff and look around to see how dirty is this restaurant everywhere. our waitress argue with my friend for the tips (how dare you??!!) don't waist your time guys

My boyfriend and I were determined to try real southern cuisine. We wanted to eat at small "holes in the wall" because I believe they have some of the best food. This spot was exactly that, the atmosphere was a "no fuss" bar and the staff was super friendly on Friday night. The waiting time was very short and our... More
