Good food...not service

The food is amazing. And lets be honest that's what you're going for. The servers are not very polite but the taste of the food makes up for it.

Line up was average, food plentiful but all deep fried, place was very noisy. It was an experience but we would not go again.

We stumbled across the place in looking for the best food out in New Orleans... Seriously one of our favorites. The gumbo was delicious and jambalaya was to die for. A little bit of a wait, but worth it!

We lucked out with a table for 5 when we walked in - afterwards, the line outside was long. Our waitress was attentive and talky - only interrupting herself to yell at people walking in that they had to wait outside. Then she said, "that's my favorite part of the job!" But she was right on with her recommendations -... More

It is noisy, cramped, the service wasn't that great, but I actually loved it here. I had the lamb chops and the jambalaya, and both were excellent. It's not pretentious at all. It's a cool place and I'd recommend it to anyone.

We were a group of 10 who came here for dinner while in NO for a conference. It's a tiny place, and you have to wait for a table; no reservations, no calling ahead. It was a fun wait though, talking to others in line and watching the people walking by. After waiting an hour or so, we all got... More

This is a restaurant that has seriously lost it. If they hate their customers so much, they should maybe think about closing up. We were greeted by a family on their way out who practically begged us not to go in on account of the rudeness of the8 staff. When we joked with the waitress about being busy at Jazzfest,... More

If you can get in early enough there is no waiting. Seats about 50 total. This was a Monday, we tried this place on the previous Saturday & a 7:00 pm the line was not worth waiting for. So we got there at 6:00 pm and it was great. Ambience is this is a locals hang out. Great Cajun creole... More

I asked a good friend that frequented NOLA about local cuisine and he recommended Coop's. I have to say I am thankful. The food was excellent and the atmosphere was friendly, upbeat, and festive. It is small so if you are claustrophobic, be aware. We had to wait outside, they use up every inch for dining are inside. That was... More

I first time I ate at Coops was in 2010, I brought my fiance here for the food. I was sad that they didn't have gator bites but the crawfish po boy was the best po boy I have ever had. I loved the cole slaw, I usually can't eat cole slaw but this was perfect it was tart and... More
