the food at this place is ok, but the staff is the rudest bunch of jackasses on the planet. Not worth the wait, oh yeah and the wait is outside!
We had a late dinner at Coops and it was busy!! it was about 8:00pm and there was a line to get in, after 20 min. we got into a very small resturant that was very noisy and dark, the waiter was a little rude but the food was really really good! We had Gator bites and that was really... More
The gumbo here is the best I have ever had, and definitely the best in the Quarter. Super friendly service! There is often a line-up to get in so leave yourself lots of time!
Thanks to a bellman at our hotel we found this gem. The overall appearance would not entice me to dine here. The food was our favorite in The Big Easy. That's saying a mouthful because we at at several renowned fine restaurants which were excellent as well. Great Cajun and Creole. I never knew Shrimp Creole could be this delicious.... More
Here you will find a loud, small, crowded place with so-so staff and terrible food. I go to New Orleans every year and this is definitely the worst Gumbo I have ever had.
Seriously, DON'T EAT HERE. The food is terrible and overpriced, you have to share tables, and the staff is rude. We'd heard that this was a great place for jambalaya, but things must have gone downhill from what they used to be. My jambalaya was unrecognizable and flavorless; it looked and tasted like some kind of Chef Boyardee that had... More
No joke. Try it other places, and then try it here. You will be blown away. Wait staff was just so/so. Nothing to write home about (but it seems like that is common in nola) Just like everywhere else, you have to wait in line to get in, there is no putting your name on a list. Just eat the... More
This joint is such a joy, we ate here twice in our short time in New Orleans. The staff is part of the fun so sit at the bar and engage or at least observe. Don't go here for regular restaurant service, go for the food and the drink. The prices are great for the value of the meal. The... More
This place is nasty....please tell me you did not see the back of the establishment where the kitchen and bathrooms are located and still continue to eat here. I think this place thinks it's "cool" and "hipster" well I have news for them, it’s just plain "Nasty." The food is nothing to write home about. Anyone can cook shrimp and... More
This place should be number one! It is a kind of whole in the wall...but wow! Not only is the menu origional, but the food is amazing! I loved the rabbit jumbalaya as well as the duck quesadilla and crab stuffed jalapenos. The rest of the group enjoyed the ettoffe and gumbo. Each of the meals was extremely well seasoned,... More
