I was in the mood for rabbit, but I also wanted jambalaya. Solution! Coop's Place has rabbit jambalaya. Not only was the food full of flavor, the service was fast. It took 20 minutes from the time I entered the establishment, ordered, ate my meal, and left. I could not ask for a better meal. The reason I gave it... More

Even though this place is in the heart of a tourist area,it was full of locals and I felt like I lived in the neighborhood. The food was outstanding! They make you feel like family. Very cool little gem of a restaurant bar.

We have been to coops each time we visit New Orleans...ever since our bike tour guide recommended it several years ago. It never disappoints. We love the seafood gumbo, the Cajun Tasso seafood pasta is great, and, well we have not had anything we didn't like. Waiters border on rude...on purpose....it's kind of fun... And we always have wonderful conversations... More

we stopped here randomly for a late lunch, sat at the bar, and had a fantastic meal. We really loved the atmosphere, food, drinks, and service. My husband said it was the best poboy he's had (and we've been to NOLA many times), my red beans and rice were also pretty tasty. We'll definitely be back!

Had a customer take me here for dinner, and I am so glad he did! Though the place isn't much to look at, the food and service are absolutely top notch! I had the blackened redfish, and it was phenomenal! A bit spicy, which I love, and perfectly prepared. Great portions and prices....maybe the best meal I've ever had in... More

surprisingly, it was day 3 into our 5 day trip and we weren’t seeing a lot of jambalaya on menus and the ones we did try weren’t anything special. we had plenty of gumbo. plenty. it felt like every where we went, we were eating gumbo. it was now time to shift the focus to jambalaya. after doing some researching... We had taken a haunted tour and took the recommendation from our tour guide to eat here. The atmosphere was fun. The food was very flavorful. The service could have been a bit better, but it was not horrible.

On a recommendation from a native, we took a chance and ate here. OMG the food is amazingly good. It's all I thought about the next day and we went there a second time. Try the pastas....mmmmmmmm . A lot of down home atmosphere. Wanted to go on our last night, but the line was out the door. If we... More

Myself and my friend went here last Friday and had a great meal. Our waiter who I am embarrassed to say I have forgotten his name was really nice and welcoming and made some fantastic recommendations for us. I was Going to get a Miller but he told me I could get that anywhere, so he brought us each an... More

Wow. Tiny little place, family style seating, off the beaten path and worth the few extra steps to get there. Order the fried chicken or any cajun dish on the menu. You will be glad you did.
