Was ok, but somehow the coffee and beignets just didn't have the same oommppphh as the original? Cannot put my finger on why. The riverside location is nice, so don't know. Will have to give it another go next time I am there.

Get powered sugar on your clothes from the beignets and cafe au lait in your mouth. It's New Awlins dawlin! You haven't been to New Orleans if you haven't been to Cafe Du Monde.

It is a N.O. staple. Stop get your "doughnuts" and coffee and then peruse the street vendors and historical sights. A must do for every trip!

A convienent place to get some Beignets while down by the river. It's clean and efficiently run. A little heavy on the powdered sugar, but that's not a deal breaker.

This is the place to go. I made sure I visited this cafe at least once a day on my 6 day vacation. If you like funnel cakes you will definitely love this place. As they say I. New Orleans you don't come here to eat healthy.

A must do experience when in the Quarter. The menu is simple and the service is great. Don't go at peak times though if you don't want to wait. Prices reasonable and the beignets and coffee are wonderful.

You have to pay a visit to this touristy place! BUT BRING CASH, no credit cards here. Great amounts of powdered sugar, they must go through 50lbs a day. Really liked the iced coffee, it's like a slushy.

This is the place for beignets, a must have when you visit New Orleans. A beignet is a square, fried donut covered in powdered sugar. At the Cafe Du Monde they a 3 per order, brought to you so hot you can barely touch them and with a huge amount of powdered sugar on top. There were 3 of us... More

Even though this is One of New Orleans most popular places, I was expecting a little more. The Beignets are perfect but rest everything is Blah! The Service is Super fast and the place is close to the French quarter so a good place to hang out.

A place you have to visit just for the New Orleans experience, nice jazz music playing, outside dining, and close to many interesting locations such as Jackson Square and French Quarter.
