It's hard for me to believe how far the Ugly Dog Saloon has fallen. My family and I have been coming to NOLA for years. We heard about Ugly Dog almost a decade ago and instantly fell in love. (OMG, that coleslaw!) Since then, we've always made it a point to eat there every time we visit the Crescent City.... More

This is just a short walk from the WWII Museum, and it is big and roomy with large picnic tables and excellent music playing. There is a tourist spot up the street with a line down the block: turn around and come over to the Ugly Dog, instead, and eat right away! The Brisket Tacos were the tastiest meal I've... More

We really enjoyed the ribs and the BBQ sauce but left everything else untouched! If you sit inside you will smell like smoke when you leave but there is outdoor seating. We really only ended up there because the wait at Cochon was too long but happy in the long run!

Close to WWII museum in CBD, Very good pulled pork BBQ on delicious bun or french bread. Reasonably priced and generous quantities. Huge, cheap and very good Bloody Marys...

If you have a taste for BBQ and want to eat with the locals near the convention center this will due. There's nothing special about this place and reminds me of just your average/low scale business. Food was average at best, but priced accordingly.

This is a good place to grab some barbeque in the Warehouse District. The prices are good and is not usually too busy. There is outside seating as well.

Lots of locals watching the Oklahoma vs Oklahoma st. Game made it a comfortable atmosphere since my family is big into football. Food was tasty. Not outstanding by any means but a good stop.

Where do I start? I was in town for the week working at the convention center, and after going to the same place two days in a row with the crew, I thought i would venture up the street, and see what else I could find. One more block up, and across the street I see the sign for Ugly... More

I am always looking for a good hang out close to where I am staying and certainly hit a home run with this place. This place is within two blocks of where I was staying. The food is OK but that was not why I went there. I went there to watch a few ballgames on TV that I could... More

We took a large group (12 people) to the Ugly Dog for a late lunch. There is no hostess and there was no wait staff. You have to go up to the bar to order, but no one will tell you this. You are expected to see the sign. The bartender, who appeared to be the only person in the... More
