Casual and tasty

Located between the Convention Center and the WWII Museum is the Ugly Dog Saloon. Easy in and out with a good menu and good food. Very affordable and nice people make this a great stop during a busy day of sightseeing

We stopped in here for lunch after spending the morning at the WWII Museum. A few guys at the bar and a very personable bar maid. Ordered a few brews and lunch. My friend had the pulled BBQ sandwich and pronounced it quite good. I opted for the brisket Tacos. I was told my Tacos would be a few minutes... More

My son and I went here by default. Cochons had a long wait across the street. The BBQ was tasty but only Luke warm when served. The corn bread was cold and service non- existent. They offered only one sauce and it was very basic. Bottom line, do not go for the BBQ.

This was one of the worst places I have ever eaten at. Service was horrible (over 30 minutes) for a slice beef brisket sandwich and macaroni and cheese. Brisket had no seasoning on it and was tougher than jerky. Mac and cheese was a glob of mush missing the cheese and flavor. Do they not know about salt and pepper?????... More

We tried ribs, brisket, pulled pork and burgers. The best was the burgers and loaded baked potato. They don't have Fries or corn. The cornbread was dry, but the baked potato was huge with lots of toppings. We all really liked the cole slaw though it was not like any you've ever had. All in all Ok.

We had been doing the fine dining, highlights of NOLA and were ready to scale it back and relax. This was the spot. You order your meal at the bar and within minutes, before you can drink more than a few sips of your ice cold beer and finish looking around at the

Food not bad, but not great either. Location cool but service sucked. Likely just a one time deal but if u don't mind paying for an overpriced hot dog its a unique experience.

I'm a little stunned by some of the positive reviews on here because I thought the place was pretty bad overall. The prices and portions on the menu did not match up with reality and the sides were nothing to brag about. I assumed that when they said chips they meant homemade chips since the menu said kettle made but... More

I never write reviews to begin with, but Ugly Dogs Saloon and BBQ was SO BAD that I just had to. When we walked past it, we were hungry, and it smelled good from the outside, so we decided that we would go in. Once we ordered, the portions were much smaller than advertised. We ordered a 1/4 lb. serving... More
