Description: Born in 1952, in the Irish Channel neighborhood, Parasol's is a New Orleans tradition that is known as THE place to go for roast beef po boys, and a huge St. Patricks Day block party. We are a neighborhood bar to the world, where everyone is welcome and treated like an old friend. Our kitchen is dedicated to taking old school New Orleans food to a new level of flavor and quality. Belly up to the old Irish bar and enjoy a pint of Guiness or wander upstairs to our smoke free dining room. You can indulge in our delicious food either way. Parasol's is a throw back to a simpler time when the social life of the neighborhood centered around the corner bar. A place where the stuff of life is discussed, celebrated and even mourned. At Parasol's it's all about you !

Hit this place on a whim. Took a taxi over and it was like walking back in time into the restaurant - very small, old style dining. Almost no one there, the bar in the other room was busy. Ordered our roast beef Po Boys and waited a little while. The sandwiches were awesome. Very tasty and the bread was... More

Found this place in a nice neighborhood. We had the pulled pork po boy, firecracker shrimp po boy and Irish sundae. Po boys wre excellent, bread was phenomenal. The Irish sundae stole the show...it's potato salad covered in roast beef debris!

This is off the beaten path but worth searching it out! Very small local pub. Great po-boys...we had an oyster po-boy and a roast beef po-boy. Both were great...a bit crowded but worth it all the way!

There are many places to go for Poboys in New Orleans but few that are worth a special trip – this is one of them. Perfect bread, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices and a typical New Orleans neighborhood atmosphere make this neighborhood restaurant a great place for a meal. Parking is a bit tricky; you may have to walk a block... More

We ordered a regular firecracker shrimp and a regular roast beef sandwich on French bread, with a small onion ring and split each sandwich. It was the best thing I've ever put in mouth. The kitchen and bar staff was friendly. I'll definitely be going back.

The Firecracker Shrimp Poboy is to die for! The Red Beans and rice were the best I had on our trip. The owner chatted with us a while, super friendly and passionate about his food. Sit at the bar....lots of charm and some great people watching!

If you want good food and don't give a hoot about the looks, this place is second to none in NO. The roast beef Po Boy, the spicy shrimp Po Boy and the $1 basket of great onion rings was to die for. If you go to NO and don't check this place out, you missed an opportunity. It's a... More

My wife and I travel to New Orleans regularly to visit my 90-year-old mother, and we tend to return to the same old (wonderful) restaurants time after time. Finally it dawned on us that since we check out TA, Yelp! etc., to learn about new restaurants when we visit other cities, we should also try it for our regular stomping... More

Thought we'd give it a go, even when we'd looked in the door (pretty plain!). But, when we went to order they didn't have the ingredients - time to move on! Very suspicious of all the 5/5's?
