This restaurant is a "jewel" in the French Quarter. It has a wonderful ambience, absolutely charming, and the food is delicious. May even be the best marinara sauce I've ever had. The desserts are heavenly too. My husband & I were also delighted with the excellent service here. A true "taste of Italy" in the French Quarter. :)

Sitting on the balcony is about the only bright spot of this place. With so many great eating places around, I can't figure out how they have stayed open for over 50 years. The service was terrible and the food wasn't much better. I've had better tasting pasta from fast food restaurants and the red fish tasted like it came... More

our first night in new Orleans was completely ruined by having the misfortune to enter this restaurant... We were a party of 4 and the service was OK we were not too happy that the waiter removed each plate as we were finished not waiting for the whole group to finish but that was minor compared to what happened when... A little on the pricey side but the food was excellent and all made from scratch The reason we ended up here was because the guy standing outside encouraging patrons was a hoot. Very honest about the food and prices. He won us over The building it self is filled with history and squeaky floors and staircases

We were desperate for a restaurant on Saturday night and made the mistake of choosing this place. My veal parm was just terrible although I admit my wife thought her meal was ok. Too expensive for the quality of food.

Good Waiter, top balcony so we saw filming of NCIS. Not much to chose from and found everything disappointing compared to other restaurants that we had frequented.

Good food, located close to the Hotel Mazarin. A bit pricey, but worth the convenience of being centrally located, with a more intimate setting for quieter dining.

Something about the south! Having been born in the south but lived in the Midwest, west, and even Alaska the hospitality in the south can't be beat. The wait staff was awesome, the food was great...get the lamb!

We stopped in here for a late dinner. We split and appetizer and just had soup, salad and drinks but it was all good. We were thrilled to find a decent place serving dinner at 10:00pm!

We were in NOLA this past September, group of 6ppl I can only say this is the worst service and food during the entire trip. First it took about 15 minutes to be seated (moved tables twice before) to a no napkins table. Beverage and Food menú incomplete (didn't have local beer or basic dishes) . Terrible service - never...
