Good food but found out tommy will not hire female servers. Doesn't care for women workers. That attitude is enough to ban the place. Wants our money but has distorted beliefs!

The atmosphere of traditional New Orleans restaurants was a nice change from trendy new places. Our waiter was very personable and helpful. From a variety of menu items we enjoyed Drumfish Capri (with crab, crawfish, capers, and artichokes) and Filet Royal with Bernaise sauce and lyonnaise potatoes. Room for only mango and raspberry sorbet but after seeing the magnificent desserts... More

Liked the personalized greeting from Tommy, the waitstaff was attentive without being obtrusive, and the food was very good! Take Steve's recommendation about the duck entrée - my husband did and was very impressed!

Stopped into Tommy's Wine Bar and had some nice wine. My companion was in the mood for a martini. She asked for a very specific drink (not on their menu) and it was perfect. We later had them custom make us a cheese/meat plate which was just what we asked for. Our waiter improvised for us and provided great service.

This place was highly suggested by a friend and has great ratings, but we were pretty unimpressed with our visit. The turtle soup is as good as you can get, but the duck plate was fairly standard by South Louisiana standards . . . not something to write home about. Probably should have stuck with a veal dish. May be... More

The food here was divine! I loved the atmosphere-very sophisticated and cozy. The food was delicious-one of the best meals I had while in New Orleans! I wish they had some music playing during dinner on the beautiful piano but it seems it is reserved for private parties only. Too bad!

No way there are this many restaurants better than this one. Not in New Orleans... not in Louisiana. A great chef who tries different recipes and almost always to perfection. Was pretty easy to get in and enjoy a quiet dinner for two. A little high end, but the quality was on par.

Four of us dined there and it was the first for all of us. Veal piccata was superb as was the soft shelled crab. Two people ordered the drum and it was also delicious. Would definitely return. Great place to take visitors.

we ate at Tommy's for the first time this week. We went after calling and being told we didn't need reservations. When we got there we were seated at the punish table, the table between the kitchen and the walkway for the whole rest of the restaurant. They did offer to move us but we declined. The service was very... More
