Good Soul Food with excellent dessert choices

We thoroughly enjoyed the seafood, red beans, and various praline options. We did have a fairly long wait, due to some confusion on service, otherwise, great for New Orleans/southern style food!

Love their food! The fried chicken is the best. Try to get there for the lunch specials. The jambalaya is great, also try the cabbage greens

We visited twice and enjoyed both visits. The staff aren't always 5star efficient, but they are very attentive and welcoming. The place has a neighbourly feel and its location on Frenchmen Street, surrounded by music bars is a bonus. The soul food is uncomplicated and very good and appears to be freshly prepared and comes to the table hot. Everyone... More

almost everything is fried but there are some other options. Greens are wonderful as is the fried chicken and fried okra. Had my first taste of fried pickles and although portion was too large, they were tasty

We just recently returned from a trip to New Orleans and loved every part of the city from it's food to it's atmosphere, unfortunately our dinner at the Praline Connection was one of the worst we've ever had. The service at this restaurant was horrible. On getting seated we had to wait 25 minutes to put in our drink order.... More

While we're thrilled you enjoyed your trip to New Orleans, we're disappointed we didn't provide the southern hospitality this city is known for. It seems like you did come in on a particularly busy day, but regardless of the crowd, we certainly wouldn't want for you to wait for too long. Thirty minutes is certainly a long time to wait... Great fried chicken, service good. Get the feeling this restaurant is in a slightly run down part of NO. Restaurant itself nothing special. Would eat there again though as the chicken was beautifully cooked and not overpriced

While it's disappointing to hear that we weren't anything special, we're thrilled you really enjoyed the fried chicken. This part of town certainly has character, which makes it fun for both tourists and locals alike. If you haven't already, try the pralines next time -- it's a favorite around here! We enjoyed a good value evening meal at this quirky cafe / restaurant on Frenchmen Street. The menu is typically Southern and the portions really big. You can easily share the starters - the plate of deep fried chicken livers was enormous! The service from the guys dressed in black and white was characterful and efficient. Will remember the sound... More

Sounds like the deep fried chicken livers were big on size and taste, Howard! New Orleans is quite a lively place, so we're thrilled you got to enjoy the culture while dining with us. Looking forward to seeing you next time you're visiting from London. Safe travels, Curtis Owner More

We were not properly advised by the server as to what we were ordering. One of us ordered a plate of deep fried veggies that was basically should have been to share with a few people (not as a solo dish). The other ordered a bowl of gumbo that was quite thin and brothy. In addition we were wondering if... More

I'm actually surprised your server didn't explain the menu when you ordered. We're used to getting visitors from all over who might not be familiar with Cajun food, so we usually take the time to explain things so you know exactly what to expect. I'll be sure to follow up with the team to make sure we're all on the... More

Whoa, way too much hype. Got the ribs wings and bread pudding. Won't remember this joint at all. The service was fine.

We're sorry we couldn't live up to the hype when you stopped by. While it sounds like the food and service was fine, we want to deliver a memorable experience that you can only get in New Orleans. If you're ever in the area, we'd love a second chance to really make an impression. Sincerely, Curtis Owner More

I believe we've already responded to the other person in your party, but I just wanted to emphasize that our employees are kept to a strict code of conduct and handle themselves professionally. I'm sorry that you weren't treated to the hospitality New Orleans is known for. It's clear that we should have been more attentive when you were in.... More
