I had the honey ginger glazed pork chop and it was superb. I came with a group of 9 people (we had reservations - recommended for a large group like this). Everyone enjoyed the food. The staff was attentive and served us well. The deserts are good too.

Mr B's food is good food as any good restaurants go, for the price level it serves. Definitely tasty but given the hype and level it has attained, I expected better. We had the BBQ shrimp, and while it is tasty, having eaten regularly where they actually farm the tiger shrimps/prawns, we consider the shrimps not as fresh as it... More

This was my 7th trip to New Orleans and my 8th visit to Mr. B's Bistro. The Gumbo YaYa and BarBQue Shrimp are outstanding. My problem is always ordering the same dish because it is always so delicious. Oh that Roux!! This time I finally ordered the BBQ Shrimp as an appetizer (great suggestion from our waiter) and the Soup... More

Having been here before and experiencing top rated service and food we disappointingly have to lower our rating this time around. The service was ok. We had a reservation and were able to be seated immediately but had Longer than expected wait times for giving our drink orders, refills, food ordering, water refills, etc etc. it wasn't any busier than... Busy place with great food, I had the BBQ Shrimp very tasty! They even suited me up with a bib as I had to take shrimp apart which itself was great fun. They had a 3 piece band wandering through the restaurant playing great local music. Don't forget dessert either they have fantastic bread pudding.

This is my third visit to New Orleans and the first since Katrina. I was a bit disappointed in the grittiness of Bourbon Street so wanted to venture more on Royal and Chartres where its a little less bawdy. My friend and I were looking for some great barbecue shrimp and were disappointed to learn we couldn't eat lunch on... More

Mr B's has great atmosphere and its. A place you want to make reservations for weeks in advance. We ate there last night. The staff was very friendly...although service was a bit slow. The food however was AMAZING! Between the three of us we ate porkBelly, barbecue shrimp (which came with a bib bad you had to use your hands... More

The bbq shrimp is excellent. Grilled shrimp was very good as well. A bit noisy but not a distraction. Service could have been better but still not bad. Would return and hopefully have a better waiter

We arrived on time greeted by a sullen receptionist she didn't speak on word to us, not a good start. The food was good Gumbo starter followed by the fish, not really anything for Veggies The worst part of this place was that we felt totally rushed the meal was served and finished as far as the staff were concerned...
