We were greeted not just by two lovely hostesses, but by a manager named Larry. The place was mostly booked, but the three of them were so good to us. They told us to sit at the bar for a while where we had a great bartender who kept us laughing with great specialty drinks. Larry found us a table... More

This was right across the street from our hotel. Son and daughter in law wound up joining us when Commanders Palace electric went out. This being said the place was jammed. Waitstaff didnt let that bother them and were very nice and professional. Now the food: skip the french fries, the first one was cold, second one yawn.Wife seafood gumbo... More

Went there for our first lunch in New Orleans. A bustling place full of tourists, but fun, and their signature BBQ shrimp tasted absolutely delicious, and perfectly full of spices, as well. Unfortunately, our other dish lacked pretty much all taste except butter, with the garlic and creole spices very hard to find, and the pasta was a little overcooked,... More

This is a very large, very busy restaurant in the French Quarter. Great bar, but even better food. The Gumbo Ya Ya, their signature dish, is a great appetizer--spicy and satisfying. I had braised rabbit, my wife a petite filet. Both of us found our food outstanding. We also found our table an added bonus--politics aside--since a plaque announced that... More

Consistently outstanding; wait staff very professional and friendly and the food is out-of-this-world.

If you have a small party, walking in for a table is pretty easy. Larger parties will want to book reservations in advance. Menu prices for the same offerings are less expensive Monday through Friday, a bit more expensive on Saturday, and their highest on Sunday. For instance, the $1.50 Bloody Mary you get Monday through Friday is at least... More

Busy, crowded, laughter.......and oh the food !!! It was a wonderful experience enhanced by the superb service. The gumbo ya ya is a must. Yes, pricey but well worth every flavorful bite. Reservations should be made well in advance.

Didn't have reservations but they got us in in 20 minutes on a busy night. Hadn't had the BBQ shrimp dish in NOLO yet but had to get it. Also had the shrimp and grits. The service was excellent, the food even better. With the bibs on, the shrimp juice running down our arms, this was how it was supposed... More

Walked by this restaurant on Royal several nights in a row and it was packed all the time. Stopped in about 6:00 on a Friday to see if on the off chance we could get a table. A 30 minute wait and were where seated. I was on a quest for the best BBQ shrimp in town and I think... More
