Made a reservation for 6 on a Saturday night before cruising.......And I had the best dinner I've ever had in my life. Bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp over cheese grits. YUMMO! My husband had the BBQ shrimp which was also a winner(although slightly messy). I was so impressed when we disembarked a week later we went back for the jazz Sunday... More

Of course the BBQ shrimp is delicious. I'm not a big BBQ person but the BBQ is understated yet absolutely delicious. The shrimp is well seasoned and meaty. But we also got the fried oyster appetizer which was absolutely divine. It comes with a horseradish sauce but our waiter recommended crystal hot sauce which was a very good addition. I'm... More

I did not have a reservation. The hostess seemed a bit aloof. But, true to her word, we only had about a 20 minute wait for a table. Just enough time to get our drinks at the bar. I highly recommend the pear cosmopolitan Martini. Our server was Joseph. He was wonderful. He had outstanding menu suggestions. Our meals we're... More

A friend and I had dinner at Mr. B's last evening. He had a pork chop. It was smoked and cooked with a honey ginger glaze. It didn't taste anything like your standard pork chop. I had rabbit. It is so rarely on a menu that I had to try it. They cook it with an apple cider sauce, smoked... More

My family and I visited for the weekend and decided to try Mr Bs. The service was excellent and the food was great once we finally got it. It took what seemed like forever - probably an hour. Seemed like they were having kitchen issues as we heard waiters concerned about other tables as well.

I went twice for dinner. A lot of local dishes, extremely well prepared. Drinks are very good and innovative. The staff is not always kind and friendly, it seems they want you to be quick. Restaurant closes early, in case you can be sitted at the bar.

A quick lunch at the bar was all that my schedule allowed. The bartender was ok but not very friendly. The $3 pear martini was great! A $3 martini, really? I ordered the fried oysters with jalapeño tartar sauce (appetizer), outstanding! Also had the chicken andouille gumbo, good but not the best I have had. Nice place for a bite,... More

When heading to NOLA, you must plan a visit to Mr. B's Bistro. The service is fantastic and the food is expertly prepared. Three people will be serving your table--so your water glass is never empty! They are friendly, but unobtrusive. My husband ordered the truffle butter filet mignon--done to perfection with the best sauted spinach. I ordered the wood-grilled... More

What a wonderful dish. Waiter suggested a bib wasn't sure about it but glad we had the bib as you peel your own shrimp. Great meal and service

I'd love to give Mr. B's 5 stars. The food (delicious!! outstanding!! one cannot say enough!!), and the table-side service cannot be exceeded, anywhere. The front desk/check in people could be beaten by your average McDonalds person. "cannot book on Open Table or any other on-line reservation service", "Cannot seat your party until everyone is here" is insane. Seat us,... More
