Mr. B's was recommended by our concierge as a good spot for our first night in New Orleans. It was a great spot and set the bar high for the rest of our stay. A bustling place on a Sunday but the staff had it under control. We started with artichoke oyster soup for me and gumbo for my wife.... More

Very convenient to Canal St. hotels but packed with patrons; little room between tables. Plenty of wait staff on hand. Baked oysters were tasty as were the duck spring rolls but not particularly special. Meal was average for presentation and taste. I might go back, but there are so many other restaurants to try.

Loved it, loved it! We ask an art gallery on royal street what was the best Crab-cake place in town, little did we know it was so close by. You get one big crab-cake of the best soft-shelf meat there is and indeed you taste it's award winning material! The service was great, the bubles were fine and the ambiance... More

We went to Mr. B's because it was just across our hotel. We had good brunch. My husband loved the fish entree he ordered. Service was efficient and attentive.

Made a reservation a day ahead, which I highly recommend. Were seated right on time. Reminded me of nice NY restaurant. Wait staff in black vest, white shirts, black bow tie. Very attentive staff. Had a couple of drinks from bar, Pimms Cup was excellent. Wife is allergic to shellfish but there were many options which is nice. Pork Belly... More

It was fairly busy and we didn't have reservations... it was a 40 minute wait .... so we asked to sit at the bar. You can get the same great menu at the bar without the wait. We had gumbo, scallops and salads. It was delicious. It was also fun sitting at the bar and watching all the activity. We... More

We arrived to NOLA fairly late and just wanted a light meal. We are happy grabbing a meal at the bar. Walked into the restaurant at 9:15 on a thurs night greeted by a lovely hostess saying that the dining room was closed but a small bar menu was available. Perfect for us. I was surprised because the dining room... More

On our visit to New Orleans we so enjoyed Mr B's that we went twice. Friendly, efficient staff. Generous portions of well cooked food. Extensive wine list. Possibly churlish to say that the food could have been hotter when delivered to table. Restaurant extremely busy mid-week which tells you how good it is! I recommend a visit.

Well, needless to say - the owners do invest in service. There seemed to be as many service people as customers! The food was quite good. We were greeted by a baguette bread - which seemed like an odd choice for a more upscale place. We had the chicken and fish. The chicken meal was massive. A complete split breast... More

Went to Mr. B's for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and I was totally blown back by the quality of the service. Servers are friendly and attentive, and you can tell that they're professional. The atmosphere is also great: it's a gorgeous restaurant inside. The bar is great, we went on a busy Friday night and got... More
