It's a food court.

You know, a food court, like a suburban mall. This is River Walk. You stand in line to fetch yr food then you try to balance yr food around kids to find a table that doesn't have some one "saving it" etc etc. It was a long line on this rainy Saturday. Maybe we chose it because it had a... read more

It is nice to have this local flavor of food in a mall food court. I ordered the shrimp po' boy; fries came with it. The shrimp was very good, but I didn't like it as part of the sandwich. I liked the bread too, just ate it separate from the shrimp. I felt eating it as a sandwich took... More

I loved coming to NOLA because it always meant at least one meal at Mike Anderson's.. My wife any I made a pilgrimage every other year all thru the 90's. Unfortunately, my wife passed in 2003 and I haven't yet returned, BUT I have had Mike Anderson's pack on dry ice and ship goodies to me near Chicago. I don't... More

Hushpuppies, catfish, oysters & crawfish etoufee were top-notch. Service was a bit snarky, but then again, you are paying for the food, not the service here! (food court style)

This is a seafood restaurant inside a shopping mall food court. Seating is shared with the other restaurants-overlooks the riverwalk. Not much on atmosphere, but you can see the river, the food is good and the price is right. The crawfish bisque was very good.

I went to college in Baton Rouge and was introduced to Mike Anderson's by a past boyfriend. I fell in love with the food. When I graduated from college, my entire family dined there in celebration. They all raved about it for months. I bought the cookbook 10 years ago and have tried many recipes. Whenever I return to BR,... More

I love the house salad and everything else. Don't go to the one in Gonzales until it is finished remodeling. They seat you in a banquet hall.

I ate alligator for the first time at Mike Anderson's.. It is true it did taste just like chicken..The catfish fillets were like thick steaks...the best seafood I have ever had...was the restaraunt affected by the hurricane?
