A great, easy find in the French Quarter. What a tremendous meal. A chopped blue cheese salad and the special of the night - a grilled swordfish atop of a bed of sausage jambalaya topped with a jalapeño holandaise sauce. Wow! I came out looking for authentic New Orleans cuisine and boy did the Louisana Bistro deliver. more

Go for the "feed me" special, you won't be disappointed. This was, by far, the best food we had in New Orleans and one of our best memories of vacation. Eat here, you won't be disappointed! The meal prepared by the chef was fresh, creative, and representative of New Orleans cuisine. The drinks were strong and the food was good.... more

The restaurant is small and quaint. The wine list is very reasonably priced- no high end wines. The menu is limited but what is on there is wonderful! I split the boudin for an appetizer. It was excellent. I had the surf and turf for dinner, which was a filet topped with crawfish tails and some slightly spicy sauce that... more

We enjoyed every course of our "Feed Me" experience! Each course featured a "new" taste sensation. We savored the crawfish in the appetizer, the gator in the gumbo, and the duck in the cassoulette. White chocolate bread pudding was the bomb! New Orleans is all about the food and the Louisiana Bistro satisfies every expectation. Bravo! more

My favorite restaurant in our 4 day trip. I had a cajun rabbit dish that was just so yummy, and I normally don't eat rabbits. . . Our waitress was nice but I can see that this place has a bit of attitude when it comes to seating tourists. more

And I'm from Dallas, and we have tons of good food here! We loved this place, yes the waiters are a little stuffy and the chef a little full of himself, but he has reason to be-food is awesome. We actually ate here twice during our 4 day stay. Very small place, dim lighting, lots of locals, away from hustle... more

After reading the reviews could not wait to try this restaurant and the feed me option. We love trying new things, and thought each dish would be amazing, but instead it was just ok. Everything was good, but we just weren't wowed. Our last dish was the stuffed pork, and although it had a good flavor it was very dry.... more

After seeing the #1 rating and reading of the creativity and accommodations mabe by chef Mars we tried it. We had food limitations that recalled discussing with the restaurant either via e mail or phone. When we arrived, the chef was not very accommodating until we pushed him. Once he did the food was good but the attitude was not... more

A friend and I tried the Bistro in May based on TripAdvisor reviews. I'm a vegetarian and was psyched to try the "feed me" veggie tasting menu, which a few other reviewers wrote about. We asked our waiter about it and the chef came right out to talk to us. He explained that he wasn't able to do a veggie... more

Having read the reviews on TripAdvisor, we tried this restaurant and were not disappointed. We ordered the three course "Feed Me" option which is quite unique. We were served Crawfish beignets, alligator gumbo, and braised buffalo ribs with the chef's own bbq sauce. These courses were served with some very good french bread. All of the courses were excellent. The... more
