Good Food but Not Quite

Based on the price of the food at this place you have to compare it to other upscale restaurants in New Orleans in the same price range. I'm not saying that the food was not good but it doesn't live up to the other great meals I've had in New Orleans for basically the same price. And the service... read more

Leave the tourist madness of Bourbon Street and on Dauphine, discover this superbe bistro with simple, but exquisite plates. Everything was excellent, but dont forget to take the BBQ shrimps for appetizer. You will have a great surprise!

This is a quaint little place that reminded me of a restaurant in "Little Italy. There are 12 tables and the food is really quite good. The service is impeccable. We had the Farmhouse Salad and it was yummy. The duck was cooked well. The crab that was on my husbands fish dish was really fishy smelling which made us... More

The food and service is second to no one! We started with the barbecue shrimp....excellent! We moved on to our entrées of: Seared tuna, pork chop, chicken, and the drum....all excellent! We topped it off with two desserts having the White chocolate bread pudding and the bourbon swamp pop martini. What a wonderful experience! We will definitely will go back... More

So I happened upon Louisiana Bistro during my 4-day visit during July 4th weekend. I had the Chef's 3-plate menu and it was great. The pork and duck dishes were amazing, and so original! Nice personal touch that the chef comes out to greet you and explain the dish. Service was excellent and friendly too. I'd definitely recommend this place... More

Our first dinner in the French Quarter in New Orleans, and what a way to begin our vacation. Easy walking distance from our hotel on Dauphine St. A little loud, but fun nevertheless. True local food that puts a smile on your face.

Saw this little gem mentioned on TripAdvisor and really wanted to give it a try. So glad we did! Tucked away behind Bourbon, you leave the craziness and all the heavy, over sauced and over priced food behind. 12 tables, perfect unpretentious service and a great meal. We had 4 different entrees, and each one was perfectly executed with clean bright... More

We had the 3 course Chef's pick. Chef Dave knows how to cook! From quail to sweet potatoes, to fried green tomatoes. He made some food we thought we just okay, amazing! Highly recommend for a wonderful fine dinning experience.

This small place was just down the street from our Hotel, and we are so glad we went there, we had heard about the Feed Me Menu, which gives you a choice of 3, 4 or 5 courses. We chose the 4 course menu, first the Chef comes out and talks to you to determine if there are any food... More
