We let the chef "feed us" with a 3 course option where the chef chooses what u eat. The first two selections were phenomenal, we got a smoked catfish and frog leg cheesecake and a deep fried alligator tail. The main course was a bit disappointing, fried chicken in BBQ sauce (skin wasn't nearly as crispy as it should have... More

3 BBQ shrimp is ok/good. A little light for sharing. The filet was very good. Crawfish was strong flavor and I wouldn't order again. The bread pudding is Absolutely Outstanding!!!! The flour less chocolate torte was very good.

My wife are tired of seafood after a week in New Orleans. We went to this venue after seeing it as we drove back to our hotel. They seated us without a reservation. The staff was friendly and service excellent. The food, starting with the salad, was incredible. Our main dishes pork and duck were world class and incredible. What... More

Nice ambiance, busy but not too noisy . Food interesting and well cooked. Good wine list compared to many. Friendly service. Decor a bit dated but that's part of the charm. A good choice.

During a 12-day gastro-vacation to New Orleans, I had supper at the Louisiana Bistro. As his website says, this is where the highly trained chef does the actual cooking instead of supervising the guy who does the supervising. Chef Mars also interacts with his customers, and his very enjoyable food and repartee was one of the most memorable highlights of... More

A most excellent dining experience was had at Louisiana Bistro. We chose the 4 course Feed Me dinner. It is three starters and a main. There was plenty of food and the courses were excellent. The chef comes out to talk to you before he starts cooking and then sends out the courses one at a time to thrill you.... More

This small bistro had the best food we experienced in our 4 nights in NOLA. I had some very good lamb and the chef came out to discuss vegetarian options with my wife - and she was quite pleased with her meal as well. The seating was comfortable although they only had about a dozen tables. I would have easily... More

My wife and I have stayed at the Prince Conti hotel each of the three times we've been in New Orleans and have noticed the small little bistro across the street on Dauphine each time, but we thought it was only a breakfast/lunch place. This time, on the recommendation of our bartender in The Bombay Club and our checking the... More

The food here was excellent and reasonably priced (yeah, in New Orleans!). Make a reservation or eat early in the evening. The place is small and fills up.

Two of us dined here for a celebratory meal. I had read other reviews that recommended the Feed Me option, and I convinced my companion that it was the best course of action: see, everyone at your table needs to opt in, or no one gets to have it. We got it. It was sooooooooooooooo good. The appetizer was frog's... More
