In New Orleans for Mardi Gras and at the suggestion of the Concierge of our hotel (Isabelle at JW Marriott), her favorite place to eat was Louisiana Bistro. My husband and I went and requested the "FEED ME". Chef Brandon came out, asked a few questions about what we liked and formed a FULL 3 course custom meal that was... More

Wow...they were really good. Light and expertly fried in cornmeal with fennel, lemon to season. I could have eaten four portions and left contented! I also had prawns in a rich, brown broth and "puppy drum", which is a close cousin of the redfish. The décor is lovely and suitable for groups up to 8. No wait on a Thurs... More

A few years ago, we enjoyed a great dinner experience at Louisiana Bistro when we chose the chef's "Feed Me" selections. It was quite a treat. Just this past week, once again Chef Brandon Green's Feed Me was outstanding! I highly recommend the Bistro for it's tasty offerings, cozy environment, and caring chef!

We were in NOLA for a week & ate here twice. Chef Green stopped at our table to explain the special. The shrimp & grits were out of this world. Highly recommend this restaurant for both the food & the service.

We have lived in south Louisiana all of our lives. Our dinner at Louisiana Bistro was the best meal we have had in New Orleans that we can remember. We ordered the "Feed Me" option from the menu. Chef Brandon Green prepared beautiful dishes that were outstanding. The shrimp over a dollop of grits was the best. The restaurant has... More

With all of the TA glowing reports of how wonderful Louisiana Bistro was and how great the "FEED ME" 'MENU' was, we were really looking forward to our visit. We were there on a Friday evening, looking forward to our conversation with the chef in anticipation for our specially prepared meal. NOT SO. On a Friday evening, no less, we... More

Chef Brandon Green came to our table and told us about the special. It was a shrimp and grits with a sauce that sounded out of this world. But, being from North Carolina, I challenged Brandon (a friendly challenge, of course), to best the chefs In NC where I get very good shrimp and grits dishes. Well, five out of... More

After reading the reviews here, I just had to try it. I stopped in at 6 pm on a Wednesday to get the three course "Feed Me" menu. Bread, a nice sweet butter and beer arrived. Chef Green came out and asked if I had any preferences, likes, dislikes, whether I had any spice level preferences, etc. I just asked... More

This place is amazing. We stopped in while recently visiting New Orleans and it was easily the best meal we had in the city. The food was incredible and the staff was so friendly and personable. I ordered the barbecued shrimp starter and the duck. The pepper sauce on the shrimp was absolutely delicious. The duck (as described) was juicy in... More

Staying in French Quarter

Neighborhood Profile
French Quarter
A small and teeming network of laissez-faire living lounged out on the balmy banks of the Mighty Mississippi, the French Quarter has long been a port of call for folks in search of a good time and a great story. Perpetually inebriated Bourbon Street runs across its midriff like a strand of cheap ribbon tied around an otherwise rather pretty and impressively well-kept vintage dress. Throughout the rest of the Quarter, brightly colored Victorian homes and businesses, famously done up with wrought-iron features, provide a distinct and immediately recognizable backdrop for all varieties of fun. At any given moment in this historic riverside setting, some of America’s finest meals are being cooked, most potent cocktails are being mixed, and most engaging music is being performed.
