Not to be confused with the other Liuzza's, nearby, this establishment is like many other New Orleans old time neighborhood bar eateries. Nothing that we ate here was particularly interesting. My fried green tomatoes were bland. My wifes onion rings were the same. The spaghetti alfredo appetizer was huge but not very tasty either. There was a Five Guys nearby.... More

A local friend introduced us to Liuzza's and we weren't disappointed. It is clearly a favorite of the locals for a good reason, great food and a friendly staff. The gumbo was some of the best we've ever had!

It's clear that Luizza's is a favorite spot for locals - customers sit comfortably at the bar, whether drinking or eating and depending on the hour, the few tables available are usually packed with enthusiastic eaters. Atmosphere is friendly and service is prompt and courteous. Be sure to order the delicious food - oyster poboys and gumbo are really good.

New Orleans is filled with great food and very little in the French Quarter. Liuzza's by the Track makes the very best bbq shrimp po boy. They take a nice crusty length of locally made French bread, hollow it out then they stuff it full of bbq shrimp. Be careful are you will be licking your while furtively looking about... More

Too much of the food in New Orleans is actually over-rated. Not here. This is a neighborhood favorite with regulars and not many tourists who are fortunate enough to know of this spot. One day recently, the special was seafood lasagna. In brief, just merely one of the best dishes my wife and I have ever tasted. The po-boys are... More

We love this place and we avoid lunch time, the place is small and packed (there are chairs outside for the line). The food is OMG good. Po'boys gumbo rice and beans are simple but delicious. The service is perfect if outside of rush hours. Be careful this place closes early.

The interior of this unassuming bar/restaurant gave us no clue that we were about to eat one of our best meals in NOLA! The service was friendly and excellent. We sampled several items but the seafood gumbo was the best dish we had eaten. Now we know what the chef-judges on food shows mean when they say "layered flavors". Every... More

Ate at Liuzza's for the second time on Monday, November 10. We had been waiting since March to retry the BBQ shrimp po boy, which we went crazy over on our initial visit. It did not disappoint. So refreshing to be greeted by the owners son (I think?) with a smile and a handshake as we were seated. Our waitress... More

This Is a fun neighborhood bar. Our second time here for lunch and the food is so excellent but the waitress ruined the afternoon for us as she was so rude. We almost walked out but did not want to be rude ourselves and the bartender was a nice man. So disappointing though because as a rule the people of... More

Had the best shrimp sandwich ever. I would definitely recommend it, if you haven't tried it already. With a strong peber flavour, but not too spicy.
