Ate at Liuzza's for the second time on Monday, November 10. We had been waiting since March to retry the BBQ shrimp po boy, which we went crazy over on our initial visit. It did not disappoint. So refreshing to be greeted by the owners son (I think?) with a smile and a handshake as we were seated. Our waitress... More

This Is a fun neighborhood bar. Our second time here for lunch and the food is so excellent but the waitress ruined the afternoon for us as she was so rude. We almost walked out but did not want to be rude ourselves and the bartender was a nice man. So disappointing though because as a rule the people of... More

Had the best shrimp sandwich ever. I would definitely recommend it, if you haven't tried it already. With a strong peber flavour, but not too spicy.

This is not close to the Quarter or downtown. But it is worth the drive! Out by City Park. Their specialty shrimp is delicious. This is a very small restaurant. Good idea to go off peak dining hours. Great cold beer. Typical local New Orleans corner neighborhood restaurant. Friendly and fast service. Not to be missed if you have a... More

Go there! Local joint with an amazing signature dish. Liuzza's BBQ shrimp stuffed in side a pistolette. Once you have it you will never forget it.

We spent the last day of our New Orleans vacation, a beautiful humidless day, walking along the Bayou St. John and through Espalade Heights, and then through City Park. I set my sights on visiting Liuzza's at the Track while we were nearby, and I'll always be glad that we did. My primary target was to devour a Barbeque Shrimp... More

This is a small local restaurant off the beaten path. We took a cab to get there and it was really worth it. The food is terrific. Two of us ordered the house specialty, BBQ shrimp and loved it. One of us had the shrimp po' boy and one had the fried oysters. It was all excellent.

Cathy and I went for lunch, and the GF options (not surprisingly) were almost non-existent. Not surprising, because the great items at Liuzza's are schooners of beer, po-boys, and fried seafood in all its incarnations. not chaged an iota since Katrina, come when you want to go to a divey local spot, not GF dining.

Neighborhood corner iconic dive. Made internationally famous by the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival. All of that but the menu is really interesting and food is done really well. Gumbo is unique with a thin roux and blend of spices. BBQ Shrimp Po Boy is a pocket sandwich in a French Bread roll. Menu good across the board. Service... More

I have been to New Orleans once pre-Katrina; once post. I returned to Liuzzas and was thrilled that it remains one of the great lunch places in the entire U.S. Make sure to try their gumbo, bbq shrimp, fried shrimp po-boy and if crab cakes are on the menu don't hesitate to order. In the wonderful St. John Bayou area,... More
